The great recovery David experienced in his life

    in Religion

Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX begins speaking from 1 Samuel 30, about the great recovery David experienced in his life. David had been seeking the promise that God had for him for 13 years from the age of 17. In  Samuel 30 it says, "Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire". Ziklag means winding road. Sometimes God takes us on a winding road.  The scripture continues saying, "but God was with him."

Pastor Brad shares about how people's lives get changed in the third day. He recounts several scriptural instances of this. Both judgment and reward can come on the third day.

1 Samual 1:2 continues, "and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way. So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive. Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep."

David goes through grief and betrayal, and ultimately strenghthened himself through the Lord his God. David then went to Abiathar the priest, a spiritual leader for guidance. David was careful to ask God for guidance. God answered, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

Hope, Loving and the great recovery David experienced in his life

Ultimately David went to Abiathar the priest, a spiritual leader for guidance. David was careful to ask God for guidance. God answered, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” It is interesting that David did not go after the enemy right way. He first encouraged himself and got back to the things God had spoken to him. This is very important for us. The word of God is the place to get your encouragement.

As you pursue, consider what things in your life has been stolen by the enemy. Identify your losses. Seek spiritual guidance. Have hope, which is the joyful expectation of good. We can have joyful expectation of good because God is the God of hope. In Romans 15:12-13 it says, "And again, Isaiah says: “There shall be a root of Jesse; And He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles, In Him the Gentiles shall hope.” Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Hope is the anchor of our soul.

Rise up, be of good courage

    in Religion

Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX continues to share about God's Suddenlies. God is going to do some things that are not gradual, but they will happen suddenly. One of the way that suddenlies come is the declaration of the word of God. Pastor Brad speaks from Numbers 13 about the rising up of man in this time. In these verses it says "be of good courage." Courage is something that God puts in us. God tells us to be of good courage because He knows fear can come against you. Fear will seek to talk you out of the assignement God has given you. Fear is a sin and does not come from God. People of God need to be people of persistence. Stand and watch the gift of faith be stirred within you. The are obstacles, giants that stand in your way, but God tells you, "you are well able."

God's suddenly is going to cause you to be who God has called you to be

    in Religion

Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX speaks more about God's suddenlies. Suddenlies come many times when there is a completion of a season. This very thing happened in Acts 2, on the day of Pentecost. When the Church was birthed, something happened suddenly. Similarly, David was annointed to be king suddenly. A suddenly causes a new beginning to come into your life.

To come to terms with what God is doing in our life we have to generate a line of thinking that puts us in line with what God was doing. Our thinking has to be elevated. To demonstrate this Pastor Brad recounts the story of David and Goliath in 1 Samuel 17.  This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. A suddenly is this day. God's suddenly is going to cause you to be who God has called you to be.

Devine Suddenlies will mark you and you will never be the same

    in Religion

Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX speaks about something that God said to him a few years ago: "Get ready for some devine suddenlies." Pastor Brad speaks specifically about the definition of the Greek words for time in the bible and how they affect God's suddenlies. God's suddenlies are always dramatic. Suddenlies will happen in our lives as we learn to go.  God wants to convince us to go. The Story of the annointing of David as a  King is given as an example of a Divine Suddenly. In suddenlies, everything is doable with God. A Devine Suddenly is a defineable moment of change in your life. Devine Suddenlies will mark you and you will never be the same.
