Power Your Progress with Problem Solving Strategies

    in Health

Did you know that reaching for certain targets can actually shut down motivation and suck joy out of our lives.  Goals are typically outcome-oriented, which means we either succeed in our attempts to achieve them -- or we fail.  And for outcome goals that take a long time to reach, our efforts can feel like a prolonged struggle, against the risk of failure.  This doesn't exactly put us in a great frame of mind for reaching our dreams.

Join Partners in Health and Biz talk show host Gail Dixon as we discuss how we can reprogram our brains to process, meet and exceed our goals.

Broadcast Happiness and Shift Your Mindset

    in Health

Join Partners in Health and Biz talk show host Gail Dixon as we discuss how broadcasting happiness can change your life in so many magnificent ways.

You can influence success at work, in parenting, and in your relationships by changing what you broadcast -- and not just by what you say.  For example, thinking of yourself as a confident person changes your body language, which can cause people to see you as having more confidence.

We're always broadcasting and transmitting messages about our moods and opinions.  The things we communicate -- and how we communicate them are reflections of our outlook on a situation.

The Changing Face of Beauty - Real & Natural

    in Health

The benefits of a broader, more inclusive definition of beauty--whether that means using fewer and cleaner cosmetics, loving your body as is, or letting your hair express its natural curl or color--extend far beyond one's own life. They affect families, communities, even the culture at large.  Self-acceptance often leads to accepting others more easily, too, and the world can always use more of that.

Join Partners in Health and Biz talk show host Gail Dixon as we discuss a few of the ways people have begun to redefine beauty -- and appreciate the natural beauty in each of us.

Call into the studion with your questions and/or comments: 347-945-7433.

Cosmetic surgery, injections and fillers, and similar invasive procedures are still popular, of course, but it's clear that clean, healthy, self-affirming beauty trends are gaining ground.

    Partners in Profit | Q & A - 7/30/2015

    in Business

Weekly on The Trucking MBA we answer questions from the Owner Operator Partners that are leased to Farm2Fleet, from people that follow our Partners in Profit podcast, or from other social medial sources.

This week we will talk about one piece of negotiating with brokers and the age old question:  Do I lose if I mention price first?

One of the other big questions and comments that we hear all the time is about leaving a bad market empty versus taking an easy, cheap load to help cover some of your costs.

Finally we will talk about comparing mileage pay leases to percentage based leases.

The Trucking MBA is hosted by Bill Hood, the co-founder of Farm2Fleet Trucking.  In less than 5-years, Farm2Fleet went from a single truck, driven by Bill, to being named as one of the 20 Best Fleets to Drive For in 2015.

Join Partners in Health and Biz talk show host Gail Dixon this Saturday, January 16, 2016 as we discuss a variety of cosmetic products, what's in them, what shouldn't be in them, and what we should know to protect ourselves.

Parabens are used commonly as a preservative, and they easily penetrate the skin. But did you know that the European Commission on Endocrine Disruption lists parabens as a category 1 substance, shown to be an endocrine disruptor? Parabens have also been detected in breast cancer tumors, suggesting a link between them and cancer. Parabens go by the following names: Methylparaben, butylparaben, propylparaben, isobutylparaben, ethylparaben, polyparaben and isobutylparaben.

The David Suzuki foundation reports that 75 to 90 percent of cosmetics may contain parabens.
