THE WOUNDED WALK
Ross Delafield was born and raised in New York City.
A walk across the United States was the daunting idea – 2,700 miles from Camp Pendleton, CA to Washington, DC, all to raise awareness for their wounded brothers and sisters in arms. In April 2013, Adam and Chris started planning their journey – planning their route, notifying friends, and spreading the word of wounded veterans in need.Over several months, thousands of miles, and many pairs of shoes, Adam went on to complete the journey and inspire a nation.
To create experiences that empower veterans to help themselves and others. The Wounded Walk is a nonprofit organization located in Leesburg, Virginia. Our goal is to challenge, motivate, and empower physically and mentally wounded military veterans by leading wilderness excursions, camping treks, and mountaineering expeditions. The Wounded Walk also advocates for the advancement of post-combat treatment for wounded veterans.
The log is a 40lb Memorial that represents those who have taken their own lives. We carry this everywhere we go in honor of those who lost their grip.
Nearly 22 US Veterans take their own lives EVERY day. That is over 8,000 per year. 40,000 since 2010.

Well, we've survived yet another Thanksgiving. The turkey has finally been picked clean and the mashed potatoes are all but gone. We've finished cleaning the kitchen and the visiting relatives have all gone home... unless you're one if the 578,424 people experiencing homelessness on any given night in the United States. Did you know that of that number, 216,197 are people in families, 362,163 are individuals and about 9 percent of homeless people- 49,933 - are veterans.
Hey, come on, that's depressing, right? You don't want to talk about that, do you? You just camped out in front of Best Buy and Walmart so you could buy your kid the new Star Wars game and a 62 inch curved screen TV to play it on. It doesn't matter that, according to a US Department of Education 2013 census report, one in every 30 children in the US is homeless. It's their fault, right? They made too many bad decisions and got hooked on drugs and can't be bothered to get a job and work for a living. Get off my lawn!
So, yes. We're going to, yet again, beat you over the head with the guilt stick and hold you to your word. You said you wanted to help Americans first, right? We've got some guests lined up who will share their stories with us and we invite you to do the same. We promise we won't get too depressing. This is a comedy podcast after all.

Kevin Schoeppel was raised in in Southern Baptist churches, and began teaching the Bible in 1992. In 1999 he was ordained as a deacon by Pima Street Baptist Church of Tucson and in 2006 was elected Adult Education Director of the church. His interest in psychics began in 1975 with a girlfriend who could predict the future. This relationship sparked his interest in social attitudes towards psychics, and in how psychic ability actually worked. He married his wife Stanna—also a psychic—in 1978.
In the mid-2000’s, as paranormal-themed TV shows appeared, Kevin’s students had questions about what the Bible really said about psychics and mediums. In 2010 he met Melanie Runyan, a medium in Kingman, AZ. She, along with Stanna, encouraged Kevin to write The Bible: The Truth about Psychics & Spiritual Gifts, which was published in 2013. He and Melanie remained close friends until her passing in March 2014.
As a result of the book, which teaches how the Bible supports psychic and mediumship abilities as true spiritual gifts, Kevin has been the featured guest on several Internet talk shows, including previous Beyond the Gate Radio shows. His second book, Melanie: A Christian Medium’s Life and her Gifts of Spirit, to honor Melanie’s memory, was published in late 2015.
Kevin lives near Tucson, Arizona with his wife Stanna
Please join Miss Catherine as she welcomes T J Leonard to the show.
Swedish country singer/songwriter, TJ Leonard got his first guitar from his grandfather, when he was eight; he taught his grandchild to play Swedish folk music and evergreens. Soon, TJ was introduced to pop and blues through his cousin, who was a little bit older and played in a famous Swedish pop band. At eighteen, TJ became lead singer and guitar player in a dance band. Many genres have passed through TJ’s life: Jazz, hard rock, gospel, soul/r&b, but not until country music came along, did it feel like home. Together with Tex Taylor, he started the band, CHESTNUT, in 2010. Later that year, they released their first single, “110% Country,” followed by the EP, American Dream. CHESTNUT played at most of the country festivals in Sweden and Denmark. In both 2012 and 2013, they were nominated in the Swedish Country Music Championships. In late 2013, TJ decided to release his songs under his own name, TJ Leonard.
“Remember Those Times” is the first single from this Top 100 CMT.com artist’s forthcoming MTS Records’ album release, High On Livin’. The single was released on November 1, 2015. The album is expected by December. www.tjleonardcountry.com

What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving weekend than to learn some of the history behind the phrase "Constitutional Convention", as it has been, and continues to be, applied to describe the Constitution's Article V State authorized amending mode, a "convention for proposing amendments"?
We'll spend some time referencing multiple original source documents from hundreds of Article V State applications for an amending convention, asking the questions why, and how, the description was changed to "Constitutional Convention", and begin discussion of the implications of this change in nomenclature.
We'll spend a little bit of time with Convention of States news first. And save some time for phone calls.
"That Provident Article" is hosted by Convention of States Texas volunteer Paul Hodson, with the Convention of States since late 2013, a District Captain in Texas from February 2014 through November 2015, and now serving as Co-Director for the Convention of States Texas.

It's going to be a spectacualr one as usual on the won and only, world famous, UrbanJunglesRadio
For more infor visit www.USARK.org and the following on Crocfest:
Christmas Croc Fest 2015 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from noon until 10:00 pm at Crocodile Manor, Shawn Heflick’s facility, in Palm Bay, Florida. Proceeds raised at this year's event will benefit the West African slender-snouted crocodile, Mecistops cataphractus. Populations of the West African slender-snout have been isolated from the Central African group for over 7.5 million years, resulting in such morphological and genetic distinctions that taxonomic revisions are underway to recognize it as a unique species. Considered the least-known crocodile in the world, surveys in West Africa over the last ten years have detected fewer than 20 wild adults. In 2013, they were assigned a Critically Endangered classification on the IUCN Red List.
