    Mayweather-Pacquaio It’s Official Fight signed

    in Sports

We’ve waited close to 6 years to see the two of the best boxers of this generation to get in the ring. All factors this week from info given to ThaBoxingVoice.com and other industry insiders point to the fact that the fight was a done deal. Now we wait until Floyd Mayweather announces on his mobile application called Shots.

    And he did.

Via his app, Mayweather posted a picture of a signed contract of his signature, Manny Pacquiao’s signature, and Bob Arum’s signature.

Details are still coming out but Cinco de Mayo weekend is a staple in the boxing world, and the center of the world will be on Mayweather-Pacquiao on May 2nd. This fight may be 6 years past the height that it could have been but nonetheless, it’s the two best welterweights, the two biggest grossing boxing stars of the last generation, and quite possibly the two best boxers of this generation. So in the words of Mills Lane, “Let’s get it on.”

We will with out a shadow of a doubt be taking live calls on air from you the voice of the people. HWTP Sports Talk: Interview with former MLB Umpire Al Clark

    in Sports

Join David, Bill and Champ on HWTP Sports Talk Radio.  We will be discussing all the pre and post hype surrounding the  Mayweather-Pacquaio fight  with Las Vegas sports reporter Case Reefer.  Also joining us will be former Major League Baseball umpire Al Clark.

    Ex-umpire Clark's book a story of redemption
An MLB veteran of 25-plus years, he was imprisoned after conviction for mail fraud

Sitting down with "Called Out But Safe: A Baseball Umpire's Journey" has to be a lot like sitting down over a beer with former umpire Al Clark and listening to him talk. It's a breezy, conversational read.

Clark, 66, is clearly proud of having worked in the Major Leagues for more than 25 years and calling more than 3,000 games -- including two World Series, seven playoff series and two All-Star Games. He frequently refers to the umpires as the "third team" on the field and misses no opportunity to praise their importance to the game.

In this volume, written with veteran journalist Dan Schlossberg, Clark covers a variety of topics, from being one of only three arbiters to eject Cal Ripken Jr. from a game, to the impact of being Jewish, to wearing his name "AL" on his cap before the American and National Leagues merged umpiring staffs in 2000. Where Do We Begin? Los That Radio 4/28/2015

    in Sports

Marcus and Darryl are back, and there's a ton to discuss...

Mayweather/Pacquaio - As the fight of the century approaches, greater attention is being paid to Floyd Mayweather's pretty significant record outside of the ring. What do we make of this?

NBA Playoffs - Are the Golden State Warriors the unquestioned leader in the clubhouse? How will the Kevin Love injury impact the Cleveland Cavaliers chances? Are the San Antonio Spurs the greatest 6th seed in the history of the NBA Playoffs? Are the Clippers a disappoinment if they lose in the first round to the defending NBA Champs?

NFL Draft - Oh yeah, this is also a thing! What team invests in Jameis Winston given the new stories making the rounds about a second possible sexual assault accusation? Is Marcus Mariotta too much of a system quarterback to be an NFL success? Will the Washington Football Team bail on RGIII? Has Phillip Rivers played his last game in San Diego?

Civil unrest in Baltimore Maryland - Not sports, real life.

Tune in tonight at 8:30 pm to hear the guys discuss. Call in to (646)478-3514 and share your opinion as well.
