Packers Therapy #249: Lions Bow Down and Worship Aaron's Golden Calf

    in Football

Like pretty much everyone else, Chris and Dave were awed by the stones Aaron Rodgers displayed at Lambeau Field, inspiring teammates and fans alike with his Lazarus impersonation, and leading the Packers over Detroit. The boys take  their usual cheap shots at Brad Jones and Mason Crosby, but throw bouquets to the Packers offensive line and an improving defense.

Posting its first show in 2005, Packers Therapy is the longest-running Packers podcast on the Internet. Hosts Chris and Dave began the show as a way of capturing the spirited chats the two co-workers had about the team around the office. The two have no pretense about being experts: they are just two opinionated shareholders who love the team, follow it closely, but don't always see the Packers fortunes eye to eye.

The guys encourage comments and questions via their Twitter feed @PackersTherapy and read and respond to as many as they can during each show.

Packers Therapy #262: Newton's Law: Packers Fall to Earth

    in Football

Depressed about the Packers losing a second straight road game to an undefeated opponent? Chris and Dave aren't. But late night podcasting, alcohol, and painkillers will do that for a guy. The fellas aren't panicking, but they do note the complexity of the challenge Green Bay faces to get back on track. C & D expect better things when they take their seats at Lambeau to see the Packers face the Lions this Sunday.

Packers Therapy #264: Crosby Not High Enough, Packers Go Up in Smoke

    in Football

Chris and Dave saw one good football game this weekend. Sadly, it wasn't the one they witnessed at Lambeau Field. The fellas, after consulting with Podcast Physician Dr. Klaus, see no easy cure for what's plaguing the Pack, believing it is lethal matrix of many small things adding up to the recent flaccidness. Still, the boys aren't panicking, but another dud in Minnesota might push them over the edge.

Pulse of the Pack: Panther Bitten, Lions Loom

    in Football

The Packers dropped their second game in a row to the Carolina Panthers and head home licking some wounds. Green Bay gave too little too late and their attempt to tie was thwarted in the end.  The season is far from over, but there are many questions about how good this Packers team really is.  Jacob and Jason have an early discussion on that topic.  Is there trouble in Titletown with the mounting frustration of two losses and subpar play?  How able is this team to bounce back and get on track next week against the Detroit Lions?  Pulse of the Pack is back and ready to tackle it all!

Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions game preview; Keys to the game

    in Sports

The Green Bay Packers face the Detriot Lions at Lambeau Field, on Sunday. Both teams are in of a win for different reasons. The Packers started the season 6-0 and have dropped back to back games. Both losses came at the hands of undefeated teams. However, they did not look like a playoff team in either game being dominated on both sides of the ball. It took a sideline scuffle to fire up the Packers after being down by 20 points to mount a comeback that fell a few yards short. By dropping two games in a row, they have fallen back to the pack and are now tied with the Minnesota Vikings for first place.

The Detroit Lions have started the season 1-7 and have dropped two games in a row. With Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson,  Golden Tate, and the addition of Ameer Abdullah the offense was suppose to put up points. After 8 games they have only scored 149 points. San Francisco is the only team that has scored fewer points (126).  Ndamukong Suh left for Miami, so the Lions tried to fill the void with Haloti Ngata. A defense that was once feared in the NFC North has become average at best.  To make matters worse, the Detroit Lions have not won in Green Bay since December 15, 1991.

Pulse of the Pack: Packers Super Bowl Edition

    in Football

With Super Bowl 50 right around the corner, Jacob and Jason debate who the best players are at each position in Packers history.  The duo also discuss the news that Aaron Rodgers had his knee scoped and what that may have meant for the 2015 season and what it means for 2016 and beyond.  The Pro Bowl turned about to be another bad look for the NFL.  What should this game/experience look like in future?  As always, the guys take your questions too.  It's all here on this latest Pulse of the Pack!

Green Bay Packers-Detroit Lions preview; Wisconsin football, basketball news

    in Sports

The Green Bay Packers struggled mightily against the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving night, losing with both legends Bart Starr and Brett Favre in the house. Can Aaron Rodgers turn the tide of a stagnant offense against the Detroit Lions, who've won three straight?

We look back at the Wisconsin Badgers and their 2015 regular season. What would you have predicted at the beginning of the season if you knew the Badgers would be without junior running back Corey Clement? We discuss.
