Join Sara Bingham, WeeHands Founder and author of The Baby Signing Book, each week as she shares parenting tips, language development strategies, and the joys of connecting with your baby, toddler and/or preschool child.
Since 2001, WeeHands has been an industry-leading children's sign language and language development program delivered through interactive, fun classes, as well as a line of tailored products. In 2014, WeeHands became part of Morneau Shepell’s Children's Support Solutions, an organization that provides health-centered and educational services to children with differences to help them reach their potential.
This week, Sara will chat with Wendy Duke - founder of Columbia Speech Language Services. "Communication is what allows us to participate in society on many levels - at work and at play and at school. It's never hard for me to convince people of the value of speech therapy because I really believe in it," Wendy says. We'll discuss preschool language development and stuttering.
Once again, I'm going to try some audio tweaking here. Because I always end up getting listeners when I'm trying to test audio settings, I'm going to replay the interview with Stuttering John Melendez. It's WAY more entertaining than my trying to fumble with audio.
That's right, you know him from the Howard Stern Show and you know him from the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. But, did you know he makes hilarious music videos? Did you know he majored in film and television in college? ME NEITHER! Let's get to know the real JOHN MELENDEZ!!!!
Follow him on Twitter @stutteringjohnm

This is my first show and I wanted it to be an introductory show. A time where I can tell you what Crossed Over Connections is and who I am .
I also wanted to let you know what to expect on my shows and hopefully they will not only Heal your Hearts and Minds but Guide you in decisions that can help further your life status. They also will be used to Connect to those Crossed Over which again will help you in your lives and to reach the destiny you were destined to do.
Last but not least I want these shows to be able to help another as far as getting messages and even themselves out into the world. I believe these shows will help many People and Animals to live peacefully as God intended.
Amid a season of amazing race performances none deserve higher accolades than those of Scott Luikart. The 50 year old is redefining the limits for maturing riders. It wasn't all that long ago that many were surprised that someone over the age of 50 could complete an ultra event let alone be competitive. Coming off an unbelievable performance where he shattered the Texas Time Trials 500 mile course record, Scott is heading to West Texas this weekend to compete in the 1,000 mile division at No Country for Old Men.
Jeff Cleary - creator of Cleary Bikes - joins us this afternoon to discuss the company's wonderful kids bikes. Far and away one of our favorite products at Interbike this year. A description of what Cleary Bikes is all about:
Cleary Bikes empower kids. A bike launches a little boy or girl into the world. He does not have to be a daredevil. When a kid pushes off on his or her bike, rides to the mailbox, the store, the park or to school, he becomes actively engaged. Not being led by the hand and blazing his own path, is independence!
Riding a bike should be fun. It certainly shouldn’t be stressful or scary. When we created Cleary Bikes we wanted to thrill kids. Riding a Cleary Bike is truly a joyful experience. They roll smoothly, they’re quiet, and they look sleek. We see our bikes as fun tools, not toys. Kids know the difference because the quality that distinguishes our bikes is evident in every facet of their construction. It can be felt in every pedal stroke.
We know these things because we have been riding bikes since we first threw a leg over the banana seat on a second-hand Huffy Dragster. We pedaled on through mountain bikes, road bikes, cross bikes, time trial bikes - and then bikes for our kids. And that's when it became clear the kids needed something better.
We go "Way Over the Rainbow" tonight with host Andrew Martin. This marks an exciting new hour, focusing on LGBT news, politics and entertainment. Andrew introduces guests, plays great music, and hopes to delve into serious LGBT culture while at the same time keeping the ambience light and fun.
Tonight's guest is Aaron Fricke. He's not merely a legendary figure of LGBT culture for writing the historic autobiography "Reflections of a Rock Lobster," which defined his openly-gay childhood and adolescence in Rhode Island, and his subsequent lawsuit against his high school, in which he successfully fought to bring a male date to the senior prom. Since that time, he's written several other masterful works which will be discussed, and he might even offer some relationship advice about what keeps his twenty-three year partnership going strong.
