  • Meet the Real Jesus.

    in Christianity

The Teaching Temple is here. Ever wonder why there are so many unchurched people in America, particularly among 18-29 year olds? The reason seems to be that people are disillusioned with what churches are teaching. Yet when Jesus walked the earth the multides followed him wherever he went -- they hung on his every word. They said "never a man spoke like this man -- he speaks with authority".  It was the content of his message. It was what he was saying that made the difference.  No blue smoke and mirrors, No horse and pony shows. No thousand voice choirs. It was his teaching.  Is it any wonder that he admonished is disciples that if they were truly his disciples they must hold to his teaching. Not him but his teaching.  Now suppose that what is being taught is not his teaching?  Might this explain why the Kingdom of God has not become a reality? Is it any wonder that the foundation of his teaching was that you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free? Do you have the courage to learn what he actually taught?  And if you do, do you have the courage to implement those teachings? Each day the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Each day the prisons are being filled with more and more of our young people -- and the beat goes on! The Gospel of the Kingdom of God was intended for the poor, the downtrodden, the outcasts.  Jesus didn't come to start a religion -- he already had a religion -- he came to start a revolution! Join us for lively discussion of what Jesus taught -- Join us at the Teaching Temple. Sundays at 7:00 pm est.   Join the Jesus Movement!

Why are standing DULUTH School Board members on campaign committees of candidate

    in Elections

I found out at the Labor Temple on Thursday night that a standing board member who does not face re-election is the treasurer or one of the higher posts on David Kirby's election committee.  This is a conflict of interest.  It is a conflict of interest because there is a lot of ingrained, concrete power struggles on the board with 5 dominant members and 2 outcasts.   It is important that each candidate presents themselves with a fresh voice with no political allies that will stir up old rivalries.   This topic will be discussed and also the bad decision by the local labor organization in Duluth to support a candidate with no background in blue collar labor.

Jesus Eats With Tax Collectors and Other Sinners/ Luke 5:27-31

    in Religion

It's Tax Season and today's Bible Study is very timely, Jesus eats with tax collectors and sinners. The focus is on a particular tax collector named Matthew! Jesus points out that it is not healthy folks that need a doctor----it is sick folks! SONSHINE USA Bible teacher Warren Landis says that our churches today need to reach out to the outcasts of our society and let them know about the LOVE of JESUS! Sadly, too many churches today have become little more than a social country club for elite saints. Too many churches today are catering to rich folks for the financial betterment of the church bank account. Why not role up our sleeves and bring "SINNERS" into our churches and watch as THE HOLY SPIRIT transforms these lives inti something beautifull and productive! Joins us in this life transforming broadcast!

    Power Points of Victory

    in Self Help

Was Jesus “progressive” of “conservative” in His actions, philosophy and motives? America’s political right wing Evangelical Christians hold up the Bible & Jesus---as they reduce social programs assisting the general public and give more and more tax breaks to those that already have. Is this anything new historically to society and what would Jesus say about this development? Dr. Richard Gladiator Johnson looks at the existing King James Version seeking evidence to support Jesus taking from the needy to advance the wealthy. Starting with the Book of Acts, Book of James and then the 4 Gospels…what does the Word of God really say about Wealth and the population at large?
