Heroes Among Us: Adoption and Vietnam

    in Politics Conservative

In November, we observe Veterans Day. Many do not realize that National Adoption Month is also in November. Both are very important observances. Those who have served in the military are our heroes, as are those who have opened their hearts and homes to children in need of a family.

David Cordeau, a Vietnam veteran, will share his story with us. He miraculously survived many dangers during the war. Now, he pastors a church and travels nationally and internationally sharing the Gospel. He even travels to Vietnam to preach.

Anne Knapp and her husband, Dan, have five children, two of whom they adopted from Haiti. Their lives are more complete as a result of adding Ednel and Ronald to their homes, but the adoption process certainly came with challenges. Tune in to hear their story.

Tune in to The Right Voice with Adrienne Ross from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eastern/7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Central every Tuesday. Become part of the conversation by calling in to (646) 200-3715 to comment and/or ask questions. If you miss the live show, listen to the podcast at any time.

Agent Orange Dioxin Poisoning: What Vietnam Veterans Need To Know

    in Military

During the Vietnam War, the United States military sprayed millions of gallons of Agent Orange and other herbicides on trees and vegetation. Several decades later, concerns about the health effects from these chemicals continue. One of the groups impacted by Agent Orange Dioxin poisoning is the servicemen who were at sea.  These brave men are often referred to as Blue Water Navy, which includes Coast Guard and Fleet Marine personnel. Although it has been over forty years, there are still so many servicemen as well as their offspring who continue to suffer due to Agent Orange Dioxin poisoning. While the United States Veterans Administration offers “eligible Veterans”, a free Agent Orange Registry health exam to assess possible long-term health problems related to exposure, gathering the information is quite a task. However, there are people out there who are doing everything they can to help our veterans get the help that they need. In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to Mr. John J. Bury, a retired US Navy and Vietnam War Veteran. He is going to talk about Agent Orange Dioxin poisoning and his work as an advocate, helping others that have also been affected.   Do you like FREE stuff? Tune in to The Organic View Radio Show, Monday through Friday @6pm Eastern and visit our contest section at www.theorganicview.com/contests to win one of our monthly prizes!

A Vietnam Veteran's March on Washington DC

    in Health

I recently read an article that stated that roughly 300,000 veterans have died from agent orange, that's roughly 5 times as many as
the 58,000 that died in combat there! These are astonishing figures. 11 million gallons of AO was sprayed over 200 million acres and much of it in areas used as large bases for
US troops. This has put over 300 million Vietnam vets and their families at risk. One soldier put it this way, "you know we all took a bullet there, some of us just didn't know it". That bullet, that wound has never healed. It has never even been recognized as a wound. When will he people and the government of the United States begin to realize the bad hand we were dealt? When will the government realize that perhaps there should be 300,000 names on that wall, with plenty of space left over in Washington, DC?  Our group is not about posting photos, bringing up good or bad memories, it's about solidarity in holding the chemical companies, the US government and the Veterans Administration responsible for what they have done to us. There have been many injustices imposed upon various peoples, factions and groups. We are one faction, one group that has been overlooked. Isn't it about time we
did something about this? I am going to dedicate our next broadcast to establish a march on Washington DC and our cause that he did in Selma, Alabama. March with US Mr. president!
