    Young people are torn in many directions these days. Unfortunately, they must prepare for their future while simultaneously ensuring that the planet they live on actually has one. From climate change to social justice, more and more college students are finding time to organize, speak out and effect change on important issues.


    Talkupy welcomes student organizer Gabriel Shapiro to the show at 9 p.m. Wednesday  Oct. 14. Active in Hampshire College Climate Justice, the Climate Action Now Network of the Pioneer Valley, We Are Seneca Lake and more, Gabriel will discuss the need to act now on climate change. He will also tell us how he finds the time to work as an organizer at the intersection of these and other important movements. We'll also  explore the strategies that young activists are taking to put personal differences aside and focus on the issues in unity.
