Warrior Talk Radio with GI Jenn & Jeff Gonzales is honored to bring you the first in a series of MILITARY HISTORY episodes. Tonight, we will air A Tribute to those in and effected by the Beirut Bombing, 1983.
On 23 October 1983, a suicide bomber attacked the building serving as a barracks for the 1st Battalion 8th Marines (Battalion Landing Team - BLT 1/8), the death toll was 241 American servicemen: 220 Marines, 18 sailors, and three soldiers, making this incident the deadliest single-day death toll for the United States Marine Corps since World War II's Battle of Iwo Jima, the deadliest single-day death toll for the US military since the first day of the Vietnam War's Tet Offensive, and the deadliest single attack on Americans overseas since World War II. Another 128 Americans were wounded in the blast. Thirteen later died of their injuries, and they are numbered among the total number who died.
Tonight, we will be looking at several aspects of the bombing... Who was behind it, the SOP at the BLT, the after-action report and of course, we will be talking to friends and family about the WARRIORS who lost their lives and the heroics of those who tried to save their brothers-in-arms.
Please join us for this special A Tribute to those in and effected by the Beirut Bombing.

Warrior Goddess Training with HeatherAsh Amara
It's no secret that women today are juggling a lot. We now make up more than half the workforce in the United States and are busier than ever with partners, children, family and friends, often putting the needs of others ahead of our own. And if we feel overwhelmed by it all or fall short of perfection, many of us have learned to be our own worst critic rather than our own best friend.
That's where our inner warrior goddess comes in.
In Warrior Goddess Training, bestselling author HeatherAsh Amara provides the antidote to the flawed idea that you are not enough. Direct, honest, and unapologetic, Amara will show you how to release the layers of expectations to finally see yourself for the authentic, perceptive, perfect woman you really are.
Drawing on the wisdom from Buddhism, Toltec wisdom, and ancient Earth-based goddess spirituality, the Warrior Goddess path includes personal stories, rituals, and exercises that will encourage and inspire you to become the true warrior goddess you are meant to be, so that no matter what life throws your way you will feel healthy and whole always. Because your Warrior Goddess self is a force that can not only improve your own life, but the lives of others around the world too.

It's 2.30 am 26th June 2000, the specialist calmly advised Kay, her son Josh was now a complete quadriplegic, he would spend the rest of his life in bed, if lucky be able to use a motorised wheelchair; devastated Kay looked the doctor in the eye and said "my son will walk again, he is so strong and has a powerful mind". The Doctor replied "Ms Ledson, that's the problem mother's like you, if you do not accept your son will never walk again then I feel sorry for your son". In total disbelief she said, "You don't know me and you don't know my son, he will walk again."
