Rick Wolf is vocalist for XFactor1 who will be bringing live music to Omaha on May 12 to Shamrocks Pub.
XFactor1 was formed during the winter of 2006 with the intent of bringing decadence, intensity and the true meaning of music back to a rock and metal scene that was sounding pretty lame and had lost its connection with the people that matter the most, the fans.
In 2012, XFactor1 signed with Megaforce to extend the reach of their most recent releas, Famous.Last.Words with which the are on tour supporting this year.
They are gearing up for their INFEST AMERICA tour with TAPROOT and then will be playing this year’s ROCK ON THE RANGE.
OmahaNightOutGuide always bringing the best live music in Omaha, this time with Rick Wolf of XFactor 1!
When I think of music in Omaha and some of the shows that OmahaNightOutGuide.com has promoted and booked over the past three years one band stands out in my head. In their previous endeavor they were Cold Steel. The young men were one of the first shows that I went to with the launch of OmahaNightOutGuide.com. It was at this point that music in Omaha would be the central focus on OmahaNightOutGuide.com.
I first met and saw Cold Steel at a show in Papillion and they were one of the first bands that I had booked to do a multiband show. Since that time, I have worked with Cold Steel on three other occasions and soon I will get to work with them under their current name, Save the Hero.
The band was originally formed as Cold Steel in 2005. After the almost 8 years of performing together the band has evolved and the members felt it was time for a change. The previous name misrepresented what their music has grown into.
Under the previous title the band released 5 CDs: “And It Begins”, “Cold Steel”, “See You Again”, “First Five”, “The Odds are Against Us”. With over 300+ live shows Cold Steel shared the stage with national acts such as: Heart, JackyL, Skid Row, Slaughter, Evans Blue, Black Stone Cherry, Cavo, The Nigel Dupree Band, and more.

Hip-hop music in Omaha is becoming more popular than ever. More break out artists in Omaha and Jimmy Hooligan is part of the growing hip-hop music scene in Omaha.
Jimmy Hooligan never set out to be the “Dopest” MC, “Put his City on the Map”, or even make money in the music business. Jimmy’s entire reason for making the music he makes is because he can. Sure a little money would be nice, but it’s over rated.
He has worked with many local artists from Omaha as well as those from outside the area. Such as Bizzare of D12, Slaine of La Coka Nostra, Skatterman, Big Mike ( Geto Boys) , Snoop Dogg, Sevendust, Hollywood undead, D12, Young Buck, Trick Trick, Emphatic, and many more.
After his successful showcase at SXSW 2013 Jimmy is scheduled to head out on a National Summer Tour with Big Mike called"I AM Legend" with one more Southern rap artist waiting to be announced. Jimmy is featured on The National Release Big Mike "Full Motion" scheduled for release May 14th, 2013. Be on the look out for Jimmy's MTV debut in Big Mikes Video "Full Motion" scheduled for May of 2014 as well.
OmahaNightOutGuide will be talking with Jimmy Hooligan about he recent hip-hop showcases in Omaha, the DAWB EP and the upcoming EP Release show.
