President Obama addressed the world drawing the perverbial "line in the sand" on the issue of immigration reform and other issues.
For those who may not be familiar with the "line in the sand" reference: Colonel William Travis, commander at the Alamo during the Texas fight for independence, called the men together, gave a moving speech and then with the blade of his sword be drew a line in the sand. Then basically said, "those with me join me on this side of the line; those who don't bye-bye".
Well, the line has been drawn on the topic of Immigration Reform and the "Do Nothing Congress". Obama has made his stand.
If the GOP does not come up with a "workable plan" very quickly, Obama says 'I will do something" and went on to say "If you don't like it, sue me.

We were curious as to Werleman's claim, so tonight he joins us for a podcast that will undoubtedly be a spirited conversation about religion, politics, big money and the Grand Old Party.

While Barack Obama is one of the most well-known people on Earth, very little is known about his family and his origins. In his own books he was written glowingly about his father, Barack Obama, Sr., but his siblings have been a mystery. His brother, Mark Obama Ndesandjo, calls in to discuss his new book, "An Obama's Journey: My Odyssey of Self-Discovery Across Three Cultures," where he describes his childhood in Kenya, his pained relationship with his father and his interactions with the 44th president of the United States.
With Obamacare growing and looking like it will hit all of its benchmarks, President Obama is putting together an impressive string of victories as his Republican opponents are broken apart by infighting within their own party.
“In a summer marked by instability in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, I know the world also took notice of the small American city of Ferguson, Mo., where a young man was killed, and a community was divided,”President Obama addressing the UN 24 September 2014
After watching the statements of the Republican members of the Science and Technology committee of the US House of Representatives, your favorite liberal pundit at SevsDeadSerious.com is now absolute;ly sure that the Republican members of this committe have reached a level of stupidity as it pertains to science that would be unimaginable in the 20th century let alone the 21st century. At this point to deny the authenticity of climate change is beyond the imagination; its one thing to be India or China are experiencing their own Industrial Revolutions and are beholden to fossill fuels to continue their rapid expansion but for the US to argue it is insane. We have the knowledge, manpower and ability to set the stage for climate progress in the world and we can (and should) be the leaders of the "Green Revolution". The revolution would spur jobs to rebuild the infrastructure, promote math and science through educational initiatives spotlighting jobs in the new economy and building a future for our children and their children and their children and ultimately save the planet. Or we can cater to political interests, lobbyists and the sleaze of 'Citizens United'...which do you want in your wallet?

War and the Obama derangement syndrome
September 27th, 2014
To be clear, I completely disagree with President Obama going to war with ISIS / ISIL. In fact I believe we have been conned into war and I have written several blog posts about that (here, here, here, here).
Everyone who disagree with President Obama’s action should speak out against it and try to force our politicians to do what is right. Just like many of us spoke out against President Bush’s illegal war in Iraq, we must speak out against this unnecessary war.
That said, America is one nation. Most on the Right, Left, and Middle gave President Bush the legitimacy the world needed to see even in disagreement. Unfortunately, President Obama is unable to get this legitimacy from the other side.
What is ironic is that the President has acquiesced to the military industrial complex. The President has acquiesced to the neocons. The President has acquiesced to the Republicans. So why can he not get the needed support overtly? This is the Obama derangement syndrome. It throws rational thought out the door. GOP Congressman Doug Lamborn’s (R-CO) attack on the President is the latest case.
What are your thoughts? Let’s talk. I will also be following our hash-tag #PoliticsDoneRight on Twitter.

Well it seems that another "microwave hero" has popped to the top for Republicans. It looks like Dr. Ben Carson is taking a good look at running for the nation's top spot. Although Dr. Carson suffers from some of the very same lack of experience that Republicans contiinue to complain the the current president does not have. Dr. Carson is a doctor, a brillant Neurosergeon, but has zero political experience. As far as we know, he has never run a business, although in his position at John-Hopkins he was responsible for a staff of people.
There is little doubt that Dr. Carson is an amazing man with an amzaing story, but is that enough? We will bat it around today. Feel free to call and give us your thoughts on the matter.

"The United States will recruit a global coalition to degrade and ultimately destroy the militants, known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria ,eradicating a cancer like ISIS was a long-term challenge that would put some American troops at risk.We will hunt down terrorists who threaten our country, wherever they are, That means I will not hesitate to take action against ISIL in Syria, as well as Iraq,”using an alternative name for ISIS. This is a core principle of my presidency: If you threaten America, you will find no safe haven.” President Obama
All eyes are keeping a close watch on just about every US Senate race in the country. The GOP Senate take over is in sight, but hey better not "count the chickens before the eggs hatch".
The US House of Representatives approve funding for the President Obama's so called strategy against ISIS. More Democrats vote against it than Republicans; what's up with this odd event? Just because the House voted to support the President's "strategy" he still faces serious support issues.
Eric Cantor is gone and changes are taking place within the Republican House.THe new House majority whip, Rep. Steve Scalise, is reshaping how business is done. Is this good or bad for the party?
