    Astrology Outlook for November 2014

    in Spirituality

Today on Living Astrology Radio - Astrology Outlook for November 2014

November begins a transition to a completely different energy and is notably calmer than October as we steer past the Mercury Retrograde and the Lunar & Solar Eclipses.  There are a couple of bumps along the way, but the mainstream energy for this month seems to be about letting go of all the rationalizations, logical thinking and fears from the past that have prevented us from launching our Passions, Purpose, and Creativity out into the world!  We’ve spent an inordinate amount of time in the dark and it is definitely time to get illuminated!!  It makes me feel like singing the line from the Kelly Clarkson’s song, “Out of the Darkness and into the Sun!”  Can we finally move past those anchors we have to old beliefs and the story about our past so that as we near 2015 – which is an 8 year of Abundance – we are ready to shine?  I believe we can and will.

If you would like to take a look at November in your own astrological chart, please email me your birthdate, time and place to janet@living-astrology.com by 3:00 pm Pacific the day of the show (11/6/2014).

    CPAC, Internet Neutrality, and Jigawhat?

    in Politics Progressive

On the November 26, 2015 episode of Liberal Dan Radio:

Kristi Capel, 2006 Miss Missouri USA and current Fox newscaster in Ohio, was commenting on Lady Gaga and her music in general after the Oscars and dropped a racial slur in the process. There has been a lot of coverage of this but it makes me ask the question of if sometimes you can get a pass if you are assumed to be stupid.

CPAC started this week, so I will go over a small review of what has happened so far.

Finally, the FCC made a decision about Net Neutrality. I will go over what this means for you and why many Conservatives are wrong when it comes to this regulation of the internet.

Those topics, headlines, tweet of the week and more at 8pm Central on Liberal Dan Radio: Talk From The Left, That's Right.

Remember, I am currently running the Liberal Dan Radio Go Fund Me page to help expand the show. If you listen and want to chip in some money or if you want to advertise, please visit the page.

Finally, if you are listening after the show you can always comment on the show thread at LiberalDan.com.

    Black Reconstruction #LaShawnAllenMuhammad 323.927.2913

    in Business

    Hosted By: LaShawn Allen-Muhammad

Who were the first Black Elected Officials? During the month of November, as the country gears up to re-elect or vote in the next wave of politicians, Black Reconstruction will revisit the Reconstruction era to pay homage to the Black Men who came before Obama.  During this tumultuous time, Blacks not only established townships, they also positioned themselves to be an integral part of government.

At a Glance.. In 1855, Brownhelm Township, founded by Col. Henry Brown,  gained notoriety throughout the U.S, when the township elected an African-American to government office.  The NY Syracuse Daily Journal, May 31, 1855 reported that John Mercer Langston was a fugitive slave who had been elected clerk.  Brownhelm's early residents had long been known for their strong anti-slavery stance; and Col. Henry Brown's home on the Lake Shore was often a final stop on the Underground Railroad, before reaching Canada by boat.

    African-American Firsts: Government

Local elected official: John Mercer Langston, 1855, town clerk of Brownhelm Township, Ohio.

State elected official: Alexander Lucius Twilight, 1836, the Vermont legislature.

Governor (appointed): P.B.S. Pinchback served as governor of Louisiana from Dec. 9, 1872-Jan. 13, 1873, during impeachment proceedings against the elected governor.

U.S. Representative: Joseph Rainey became a Congressman from South Carolina in 1870 and was reelected four more times.

U.S. Senator: Hiram Revels became Senator from Mississippi from Feb. 25, 1870, to March 4, 1871, during Reconstruction.

DALLAS 6: PEACEFUL PROTESTERS CHARGED WITH RIOT IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT

    in Current Events

    Who are the Dallas 6?

At SCI Dallas (PA), after a series of abuses at the hands of corrections officials, some prisoners housed in the solitary confinement unit decided they had enough and decided to stage a protest in response to the inhumane conditions and mistreatment of prisoners.  They decided it was time to do something about the inhumane conditions, immediately, before another prisoner dies or is brutally harmed. Each prisoner involved in the protest is now collectively referred to as the Dallas 6.  They are Andre Jacobs, Anthony Locke, Anthony Kelly, Carrington Keys, Duane Peters and Derrick Stanley.  On April 28th 2010, prisoner Isaac Sanchez was subjected to a planned attack by the Restrictive Housing Unit (RHU) staff, forcibly removed from his cell and brutally beaten by officers in riot gear.   Sanchez was subject to this attack as a result of speaking out against the abuse at Dallas prison on behalf of his fellow comrades.  After being told they were next, Dallas 6 barricaded themselves in for protection and covered their cell windows.  They asked for outside intervention but instead were beaten, electroshocked and peppersprayed.  They filed complaints against the DOC and 3 months later, in retaliation, they were charged with riot.   As revealed in the Human Rights report, there has  long been a policy within the prison walls of Dallas and the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (DOC) to operate a corrupt administration under an iron wall of silence. The DOC, State Police, DA's office work in conjunction to railroad these men.  On August 24th, 2015, these men are facing trial for these bogus charges.  There is a campaign underway to dismiss the please visit scidallas6.blogspot.com for more information
