    Is It Money Over Freedom?

    in Podcasting

Now if you  were offered a million dollar would you sell your own race out? How much do you value your freedom? Or does your freedom even come with a price tag? There is a part in the Bible where Satan told Jesus that  if he fall down to worship  him he would give you all the kingdoms of this world. So which one would you do? Some of our people seem to love the pleasures of the enemy's world then to have their own freedom. Give me my freedom or give me death was a old saying, wow eye wonder why no one say that any more? Is it money over freedom is the topic for this week show.

Carl Siciliano of The Ali Forney Center

    in LGBT

Carl Siciliano, founder and executive director of The Ali Forney Center, talks to Randy about the current #HarlemNoHate Campaign which aims to raise funds to help the Center purchase a church in Harlem to expand it's services for homeless LGBT youth.

The poetic irony is that the pastor of the church, Rev. James Manning, has spent years spewing vitriolic hate speech towards the LGBT community in Harlem.

Pastor Manning is notorious for signage at the church with messages such as “Jesus would stone homos” and that all supporters of LGBT people should be cursed with cancer, HIV, madness, and eternal damnation.

"The biggest reason our youths are driven from their homes is because of homophobic and transphobic religious beliefs of their parents. If we are able to obtain the space it would truly be a triumph of love over hatred," says Siciliano.

The church is being put up for auction due to unpaid bills and tax liens on February 24th. The goal of the #HarlemNoHate campaign is to purchase the church and make what was once a place that put religious-based hate on broad display, and turn it into a safe haven for young LGBT.

The Ali Forney Center is the largest and most comprehensive organization in the nation dedicated to housing LGBT youth. AFC serves youth aged 16-24, and provides emergency and transitional housing, street outreach, a drop-in center, medical and mental health treatment, a vocational/educational program, and a counseling project for the families of LGBT youth.

Listen as we talk about the difficulties homeless LGBT youth face and how you can help.

    in Education

    Welcome To Beauty Chat Radio

This evening we're discussing Children and Oral Sex in the school system. Recently there's a video curculating on the internet about two young school age children having oral sex while on school premises. This incident happened in Jamaica W.I. The name of the school had not been confirmed as of yet. We need answers as to what the school and/or Government are doing to assure that these lude acts never happen again.

The thirty-three-year old artist who was born and raised in the rural community of Lluidas Vale, Ewarton St.Catherine has over a hundred compositions to his collection with twenty-three releases being aired in the Caribbean, Europe and North America. His melodies are known for the positive energy it exudes and the hope it brings to humanity, “why should I worry when I know that I can pray” are a few words from one of his singles “Now I am Strong”. The Spirit Alive Praise And Worship Experience: Are You The One?

    in Religion

The Spirit Alive Praise & Worship Experience

Join Us: 9:00 AM (PST) -12 NOON (EST)
    Call: 714-364-4337

    Message: Are You The One?
    Text: Luke 17:11-19

Aren’t you glad for the grace that God extends to us, even when we don’t deserve it, and even when He knows how we're going to act after we receive it?  Isn't it awesome simply to know that God still continually offers us His amazing grace only because He loves us!

This is the story of ten lepers, but when you break this story down to it’s simplest elements, you can clearly see that it describes every Christian. We were outcasts from the Kingdom of God, on our way to certain death, but then we had a life changing encounter with Jesus. While we should never look back on the pleasures of sin, we should never forget where the Lord has brought us from. So I ask you, "are you the one" who will fall at the feet of Christ with an attitude of gratitude, or do you walk with the nine?

The Spirit Alive Praise & Worship Experience is an interactive virtual church where we are standing in the gap for those who can't go, or won't go into the building by providing a safe and loving atmosphere where they can simply hear the word of God. There's no fashion shows, no offerings, and no pomp and circumstance, all we offer is the love and light of Jesus Christ.

Fighting for Freedom in America: Memoir of a "Schizophrenia" and Mainstream Cultural Delusions~

When anonymous mental health worker Clyde Dee finds himself working in a Section 8 housing project that is notorious for drug dealing, he mysteriously is compelled to break the codes of standard drug war conduct. Uncanny threats and coincidences and desire for justice drive him to question the pillars of his profession and his own wellness until he decides to go off a low dose of anti-psychotic medication. Stopped by police in an effort to exit the country, Clyde is incarcerated in a State Hospital psychiatric ward for three months and released to the streets.
Unlike other success prototypes such as John Nash or Evelyn Saks, Clyde's story reveals both the innards of Schizophrenia and how a person can learn to make peace with the forces that are following them around. Clyde is able to overcome homelessness, underemployment, and harassment with family support and morph into someone who is fighting to gain attention for his successes in treating others who are in the throes of a "psychotic" episode.
