He was also a member of the CFC-50 Commission which was formed under the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to strengthen the integrity, operation and effectiveness of the Combined Federal Campaign (the largest workplace giving campaign in the world).

    Reid A. Zimmerman is an organizational development, fundraising, evaluation, and strategic planning teacher and consultant with thirty years of experience in the nonprofit sector.  


    Dr. Zimmerman is Professor of Practice at Hamline University School of Business teaching in the areas of nonprofit and public administration leadership and management.  He also serves as adjunct faculty at the University of St. Thomas graduate School of Business.  Zimmerman has been credentialed as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) since 2001. Reid’s new book: The Seven Deadly Sayings of Nonprofit Leaders: Avoiding Them in Your Organization, (2014) is published by CharityChannel Press. 


    Zimmerman holds a Doctorate in Organizational Development, (Ph.D.) with a specialization in Nonprofit Change and Effectiveness through The Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio.

    Justin Churchman, 20, is an engineering major at the University of Texas at El Paso. He is the founder of Build Better Lives, an El Paso, Texas nonprofit dedicated to eliminating homelessness in Juarez, Mexico, one house at a time. The siblings earlier this year shared an international Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award presented by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and in 2011 Justin was named a CNN Heroes Young Wonder for raising more than $80,000 to build more than two dozen houses in Mexico.
    Megan Churchman, a senior at the University of Texas at El Paso, is the founder of Global Hands, a youth-led foundation that seeks to better the lives of children worldwide. She is the recipient of the international Simms Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award given by the AFP for her work in Africa and Mexico. Her passion is children and her hope is to encourage youth everywhere to make a difference.

David has extensive experience in working with corporate and nonprofit executives in areas as diverse as performance coaching and refining business operations. Over the past five years, he has served as Interim Executive Director for five nonprofit organizations. He recently completed a $30M merger of two social service agencies in Manhattan and the dissolution of a long established workforce program. He is the Board Chair of JOBSFIRSTNYC, an intermediary organization focused on out-of-school, out-of-work young adults.
    Before joining VCG in 1991, David was the Administrator for the Department of Surgery, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
