Proceeds from Flip Flop Festivus to be held in Baltimore, MD on September 20, 2013 will directly benefit the groundbreaking research efforts of Johns Hopkins University Professor Dr. David Moller, whose team is on the cusp of creating a lead diagnostic test for Sarcoidosis, which would save millions in healthcare expenses.
Established in 1998, The Life and Breath Foundation is a 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to raising funds to improve patient care, improve communication between patients and physicians and fund research to find a cure for Sarcoidosis, which affects 1 in every 2,000 Americans. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised over $300,000 for Sarcoidosis research studies. Because of reduced NIH funding, Sarcoidosis research efforts require significant philanthropic support to move forward.
Testosterone belongs to a group of hormones called androgens. While testosterone is generally recognized as an important male hormone, women produce a small amount of it as well, according to the National Institutes of Health or NIH. Unusually high testosterone levels may be a sign of various health problems including inherited disorders of the adrenal gland and polycystic ovary syndrome. Symptoms of PCOS may include unwanted facial hair and thinning of head hair. Certain herbs may have anti-androgen effects that may help the person with what can be called: hirsutism. Excessive testosterone can lead or contribute to hirsutism (excessive facial and body hair and loss of hair on the head) as well as ovarian cysts. Tune in and listen to us speak of he herbs that tend to lower testosterone in women and help them tremendously:

My guest tonight is Dr. Robert Kuvent, who spent his career as an accomplished foot and ankle surgeon. He's served in at least nine Podiatric professional affiliations, and held positions in sixteen varied service organizations. To say he was a "Type A" personality, with an exceptionally busy life is an understatement. Then things changed, when his life was turned upside down with a disconcerting diagnosis. PD, like most other disabling conditions, not only takes a toll on the patient...But their family as well. Dr. Kuvent will be the host of a program called "Shaken Not Stirred" about PD, in our new line up of two hour programs starting in August. He will be on every other Wednesday night to help raise awareness and hope for those whose lives have been touched by Parkinson's.
Most sources now acknowledge that PD can become a long term effect of people who have suffered previous brain trauma, like the CDC and NIH.
This show is a gathering place for anyone seeking recovery from the challenges of life on life's terms. I introduce topics, and survivor's share their experience, strength and hope. We discuss useful tools that have helped us lighten the load, of our journey through recovery.
This is a "we" recovery program, because it is in the "we," that we find the new "me."
We focus on the four A's of Recovery...Awareness, Acceptance, Action and Adaptation. This is a place for survivor's striving to become thrivers. :)
