Long before Omar Tyree was a New York Times Best Selling author, he was a college student at the University of Pittsburgh criticized by his peers for an interest in writing. His teammates at the division one football powerhouse told him "football players don't write." Growing up in a small 3 bedroom house in Raleigh, North Carolina; Al Chauncy experienced what it was like to live in a lower income neighborhood called Apollo Heights. Brown is the author of School Days, Holidays, and All Days That Lie Between (ISBN: 1449560954), More School Days, Holidays, and All Days That Lie Between (ISBN: 1449983952). She holds a B.S., in Chemistry Education from the University of Louisiana-Monroe. Nicole worked as an elementary general music teacher for two years in Baton Rouge, LA, in her second year of working in Baton Rouge; she wrote and published seven books of poetry.
