Long before Omar Tyree was a New York Times Best Selling author, he was a college student at the University of Pittsburgh criticized by his peers for an interest in writing. His teammates at the division one football powerhouse told him "football players don't write." Tyree eventually transferred and has since gone on to become one of a few writers to have best sellers in multiple categories including fiction, business, children, and after selling 2 million books and having an estimated 8 million readers he enters into the world of Mystery/Thriller. A child of the 70's Tyree grew up in the Delaware and Philadelphia region with a strong stepfather who was a role model and a disciplinary that gave him the freedom to explore and put him in line anytime he strayed. Tyree became a fan of classic films, including kung-fu movies and was known amongst his middle and high school peers for his incredible memorization skills and story-telling abilities. After transferring from the University of Pittsburgh to Howard University Tyree began his writing career selling books out of the back of his car, from his college apartment which had more books than furniture, and simultaneously freelanced with local newspapers to meet ends meet. After developing a cult like following in the mid-atlantic Tyree continued to write a book every year and soon developed a national following by word of mouth leading to publishing powerhouse Simon & Schuster signing the young talent to a multiple book deal worth millions of dollars.

The author of Change For A Dollar and contributing author in the anthology On Da Corner, Aaron Bebo is a look into the urban terrain in a profound presentation of words. He spins tales so vividly that the reader is almost compelled to believe they are actually participating in every dialogue and location. His debut novel highlights the theme of transition. Bebo delivers the story in fine fashion with his detailed wit, and slick character dialogue. Using his uncanny view of the urban structure, the conditions and the circumstances which combine the urban sub-culture; he was able to translate into words a broader spectrum of the ominous shadows that seemed to be a ever present force in the urban structure where he grew up. Aaron Bebo is intent on promoting literacy as he feels it is a needed tool for those who exist in neighborhoods that are low income. "Literacy is the key to comprehension and comprehension is the key to all other doors." Aaron has lent his time speaking to students in the South Florida school system. He also runs a literacy correspondence program with several incarcerated individuals, including his son who is currently serving a ten year sentence in Sullivan correctional facility in Fallsburg, New York. Even if you weren’t old enough to play the “Kissing Game,” chances are you’ve heard Hi-Five’s single of the same name, at some point, on any number of urban, R&B stations around the world. Hi-Five debuted with their self-titled hit album in 1990, which spawned singles like “I Can’t Wait Another Minute” and their biggest single, “I Like the Way (The Kissing Game).”In 1992, just before the group’s second album, Treston Irby joined the group and helped power Hi-Five to amass a number of Top 10 singles throughout the decade. The group took a long hiatus when lead singer Tony Thompson died in 2007. Now, most of the original group members are reuniting and have released their new single “Favorite Girl”. “We are coming together again for our fans,” group member Treston Irby told AllHipHop.com. “All true R&B fans will love the new material.
