Well we will be doing a very Nicaragua based show tonight. First we will be speaking with one of our great friends - Enrique Sanchez owner of 1502 Cigars. Second Mike just got home from his trip to Nicaragua and visiting and photographing various factorys in Nicaragua.
We will speak with Enrique about his newest cigar as well as what is on the horizon for 1502.
Heather Blue van Doorninck, who goes by Blue of Rancho el Chilamate joins Travel the World to talk about her ranch that provides luxury in the country accomodations and the ability to saddle up and ride out to the same beach where they filmed Survivor Nicaragua - an absolutely beautiful ride to a coast line unique in all the world.
Nicaragua is a a wonderful travel destination, a reasonable ride from the United States and then a journey that at times seems as if you are time traveling. Heather will help us to explore not only Rancho Chilamate but also the "golden triangle" of Nicaragua travel - San Juan Del Sur, Ometepe Island and the colonial town of Granada that at time seems stopped in time.
Join hosts Jacquie Kubin and Robert Taylor, with their guest Blue, and travel South to Nicaragua.

Meet Today's Guests
Mary Jo Hadler
Mary Jo grew up in small town Iowa, surrounded by the state’s lively political climate. She turned her interest in this area into a BA in Political Science at the University of Northern Iowa, where she had the chance to intern with the Embassy of Mexico in Washington DC and travel to Nicaragua for a service learning class. There she visited an MFI and some of its borrowers, opening her eyes to the world of microfinance and the many benefits it can provide to borrowers, their families, and their communities.
Mary Jo later received an MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and interned with the National Education Trust while in London. Combining her love of education and international politics, she returned to the University of Northern Iowa to teach political science courses. She has enjoyed sharing her experiences and helping students understand and think critically about pressing world issues, something she hopes to continue and build upon through this fellowship and an eventual PhD. Mary Jo looks forward to contributing to Kiva Zip’s ongoing work in Washington DC and helping educate others about microfinance.

Carlo S. Carnevalini
Carlo S. Carnevalini was born in Nicaragua and raised a devout Catholic. At the age of six he had his first encounter with extraterrestrial beings. Two years later he read his first novel and fell in love with writing. He wrote, directed and often starred in popular plays for a local puppet theater and while attending grammar and junior high school. After a war broke out in Nicaragua, Carlo moved to Los Angeles, California where he finished high school. Thereafter, he studied film production and volunteered his time at the American Film Institute. His various extraterrestrial and paranormal experiences continued and he began to question his own faith. While taking a test for his pilot’s license, he had a severe paranormal vision almost causing the plane to crash. Feeling alone he hid his experiences from everyone until one day he discovered the book “Communion” which detailed the extraterrestrial experiences of its author, Whitley Streiber. This book inspired him to write his own book about his life. He married and lived in Florida for more than a decade, but his experiences continued to haunt him. Ending his marriage amicably to deal with his demons, he moved back to Los Angeles to focus on writing his book, “The Curse of the Gifted.” Carlo loves animals and has three dogs Foxy, Dee Dee and Lox, and a cat named Kylee. His favorite LA spots are Hollywood, Malibu and Chinatown. Read more about Carlo on his blog. https://www.facebook.com/carlo.carnevalini
