    Never Better

    in Entertainment

In this world where the illusion of thoughts of comparison & judgment toward others seems to happen. It actually doesn't. We're all "never better"... we all have the truth of the inner well-being & equality we all share. Despite the thoughts that pass through our mind, we can make a choice as to what we entertain in our brain, to be at peace as well as who we truly are.

Zenzi Hodge, The Never Snowy Christmas

    in Writing

If you asked Zenzi Hodge what she wanted to be when she grew up, you would not have heard the word author; however, that is what she has been for most of her life, whether she wants to admit it or not. Zenzi, the daughter of teachers, has been writing most of her life, something she's done since she wrote her first poem about living on St. Thomas, published in a children's anthology when she was in elementary school. Her love for creative expression continued but she purely wrote poems for fun not, as she would say, for public consumption. In 2007, Zenzi began writing short stories for her son to share his family history with him. But her passion for writing for young children came in 2011 after she lost her grandfather & she took the words her son used to express his sadness to write a story titled, I Can't See the Morning.

While the character in The Never Snowy Christmas is inspired by her son, much of the antics are of her own imagining as she STILL wishes for snow on St. Thomas.  Zenzi is an alumna of Florida A&M and Clark Atlanta Universities and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.  She resides on St. Thomas with her husband and son.

Will it snow in St. Thomas?  That is the hope of a young boy living in the US Virgin Islands.  Each year at Christmas, he wishes for snow in the island paradise he calls home and this Christmas he intends to get it.  Join him on his quest and find out if this will be the year that he gets snow in St. Thomas or will he continue to ask, "Where's My Snow" for another holiday season.

Sanctification: Preparation of The Bride of Christ - Part 3

    in Prayer

Sanctification is the process by which every born-again child of God must go in order to mature in the full measure of the stature of Christ.  And this full measyure is DIVINE LOVE.  By nature man is self-centered and proud.  In order for man to fulfill his eternal purpose and destiny, he must grow and become a son.

God trains us through trials.  The sooner we humble ourselves the faster we grow.  Because the way God loves is completely far from the way man loves by nature, man has to learn.  To accomplish this, man has to die to self.  But because his selfishness, man does not naturally volunteer to self-die.  God therefore uses the circumstances of life to help us die to self.

This is a pre-recorded message.  we will not be available to take live calls.  If you wish to comment or ask questions, please contact us via our web site at http://www.newwineinnewwinekins.org

    Thank you and shalom!

Never Fly Solo - Your Wingmen and Success with Lt. Col. Rob Waldman

    in Motivation

Through compelling real-world stories, Lt. Col. Rob "Waldo" Waldman relates how his Air Force wingmen helped him overcome challenges and become successful by teaching him lessons that work in an office as well as in a cockpit.

In and of itself, the above excerpt would provide a more than compelling reason to buy Lt. Col. Waldman's book Never Fly Solo.  Especially given the fact that the first accolade for his book was from the Pit Bull of Personal Development himself Larry Winget.  Larry, who has you already know, has been a guest on my show several times tells it like it is, so if he likes it - it has to be good!

However, and beyond the above, I actually had the opportunity to not only hear Rob speak at the recent Virginia 2014 Forum, I had the privilege to meet him in person and share some time over lunch.

While I was obviously impressed with the purpose and integrity of his message, it was the accessibility to his personal story that resonated most.

Joining me today to talk about why it is important to never fly solo is Lt. Col. Rob "Waldo" Waldman.
