Racial profiling is much in the news and is as old as this country, as we know it. People are continually discriminated against and made to suffer due to policies, official or unofficial, held by agencies, corporations, banks, etc.
Is something rotten in Staten Island, New York? I have information that the United Parcel Service, a private company, and United States Postal Service, a government agency, have been refusing to provide full services, already paid for, based on where the customer happens to live... In New York City's public housing projects in the borough of Staten Island. What is more puzzling is that this policy is not known to have been practiced in any other borough in the city. Tenants are forced to come downstairs to retrieve their packages, no matter how heavy, as these two delivery services REFUSE to enter the buildings to deliver to a tenant's door as policy. This policy is supposedly based on issues of safety. This policy is the "official" policy of UPS. It is not know if this is the "official" policy of USPS or whether this is a practice known and condoned by the government. But we will find out eventually.
Are we seeing Human Rights violations in progress?
