Please join me this Sunday January 10th, 2015, at 4:00 pm PST, as I welcome Debra Evans to the program. We will be discussing how to provide support for both special needs children and their families.
Debra Eileen Evans is the proud mom of a seven year old boy with exceptional needs. Mrs. Evans is a dedicated advocate and leader of programs and initiatives benefiting children and families with special needs. She most recently served as a parent team member for the District Validation Review, conducting comprehensive reviews of school site level compliance with special education laws, regulations and District policies and procedures for the Los Angeles Unified School District.
In November of 2012 Mrs. Evans founded MNO Southern California, a support group for parents of children with special needs. The group offers regular opportunities for parents to socialize, share resources and support each other. In addition to an online forum, monthly dinners, a quarterly speaker series, and an annual retreat for moms, the group offers opportunities for their children to socialize with picnic play dates, special events and planned field trips. The group has grown from its original four members to over two hundred members in 2016.
Please feel free to call in at (917) 889-7025!
Please join us as we discuss the very important subject of special needs children. We will take a look at not only their challenges, but of those who are charged with caring for them, educating them, advocating for them, and protecting their rights. We are hopeful to create not only a dialogue, but begin a network of support and resources, as well as a better understanding of these precious and gifted human beings.

The host of Let's Talk Truth and her guest will expound on the maturity of today's children that is standing in line to be the potential leaders of the future of this world. Can we sleep at night being confident in the ability of our young children to lead us prosperously. If we should take a good look at the behavior of our today's youth, can we see the potential growth or failure of the world. How frightened are we and is that fear enough for us to do something about it. Are we destined to live the balance of our promised life at the mercy of children, our potential future leaders. Join us today, Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 7:30pm (cst) by dialing 347-843-4945 and share with others how you feel. Understand, our potential future leaders are being groomed for life, but by whom?
What do you think about homeschooling? Do you know what your children are learning in class? Are you paying attention to what games they play and shows they watch? Do you listen to your children? Do you know their interests, their friends, their challenges? The concept of children being at odds with their parents is a western concept that is foreign to melanated people everywhere. However, we've been acclamated by enslavement, social engineering, media hypnotism, religious programming...until we raise our children like potential enemies. But there are some beautiful examples of our strong families as well. What does it take for a family to be connected and cooperative in modern society? We'll talk most about what challenges our children are facing, and how we can support them.

Him Before Them: Putting a Man Before the Children?
What if your man came to you with a request to purchase something for him, but your kids also had a request for a toy, game or a necessity? Whose wants or needs would be met first? How far would you go to please the man or woman in your life? Would you go as far to put their needs or wants before the needs and wants of your children?
These and many other questions surrounding the issue of putting your mate before your children will be addressed on this episode of Hot Topics Talk Radio.

Martial Arts is a wonderful extracurricular activity for those with special needs, especially kids with Autism or other sensory-processing issues. The repetition, the familiar curriculum, the familiar faces at each class....each aspect of martial arts allows those with special needs to shine and participate on par with classmates.
Join Restita and Bob as they talk about martial arts for special needs....specifically the Autism Spectrum, and we want to hear from parents with kids that have sensory processing difficulties, teachers/paraeducators, therapists, and most of all, we want to hear from martial arts instructors who offer classes or programs for special needs kids.
