Let the Madness begin as I will navigate you through the sports world on jayreelz Final Word, Wednesday at 8pm. The NCAA Tournament is upon us. I'll break down all of the regions, possible Cinderella darkhorse teams and make my Final Four predictions as March Madness officially begins tomorrow at 12 noon. The Knicks saved face on a winless road trip Monday in Utah. They're back home tonight as the face the Magic. Injuries have been a contributing factor to their losing ways. Will they get healthy in time before the postseason? The Nets are on the second stop of an eight game road trip tonight in Dallas. Can the Nets continue to put the heat on the Knicks in the Atlantic? Speaking of heat, can Miami push their streak to 24 games with a win at LeBron James' old stomping ground in Cleveland? I'll have all of the latest NBA chatter as we close in on the final month of the season. The Rangers snap a three game losing streak with a shootout win vs. Carolina. I'll look at how the locals are doing and go around the NHL as the second half of this shortened season is in full swing. I'll also check in on the Mets & Yankees as Spring Training is winding down. I'll even recap the World Baseball Classic as the Dominican Republic win their first ever classic last night in San Francisco. 4/3 NCAA Tourney, Mets/Yanks/MLB, Knicks/NBA, NHL
The BEST sports month of the year has arrived. I'll cover everything that's happening in the world of sports on jayreelz Final Word, Wednesday at 8pm. The Final Four in Atlanta is set as Syracuse, Wichita St., Michigan and Louisville will play for the right of a national champion this coming Saturday and Monday. I'll recap their trips to the big dance and preview the weekend ahead as to who'll be this years top mens' college basketball team. Speaking of basketball, the Knicks are peaking at the right time as the NBA playoffs are three weeks away. We'll look back at their current winning streak with dates at Miami, Chicago and Oklahoma City looming ahead. The Nets are scuffling a bit, coming off of two losses at Denver and Utah. They'll try to come home with an over .500 eight game road trip as they have one more stop in Cleveland. I'll peruse the NBA landscape as we inch closer towards the end of the regular season. The Rangers are in the midst of another goal scoring drought. It does not come at a good time with just two and a half weeks left on this shortened season and hanging on to eighth place in the East. I'll check in on the latest in the NHL and recap any big trades as the deadline is quickly approaching this Wednesday at 3pm. And wait, there's also baseball. Game #1 will be in the books for both the Mets and Yanks, as they both open up at home (?????) vs. the Padres and Red Sox respectively. April is just getting warmed up as the best month of sports continues on jayreelz Final Word, Wednesday at 8pm. The Knicks have reeled off twelve straight wins as they have their sights set on the second seed in the Eastern Conference, while the Nets do their best to secure home court in the first round of the upcoming playoffs. I'll survey the Association landscape as we're down to the final week and change in the regular season. The NCAA tournament has been an interesting one as it comes down to the National Championship between Louisville and Michigan. I'll recap the Final Four weekend and the title game as to who'll make it to the summit of College Basketball. The locals in the NHL are fighting tooth and nail to see which team makes it into the postseason. The Rangers, Islanders and Devils are in a battle as to who gets those precious seventh and eighth seeds in the East. I'll check in on the latest with what's happening on the ice as this abbreviated season is coming to a close. 3/27 2013 MLB Preview w/BBWA John Perrotto, NCAA, NBA, NHL
An enormous night of sports talk is in store on jayreelz Final Word, Wednesday at 8pm. The first weekend of March Madness is in the books. It definitely did not disappoint. Upsets galore, low seeds making it into the Sweet Sixteen in historic fashion. I'll recap all that went down throughout each region and preview what will be another wild weekend in Mens' College Basketball. It's time to break out the peanuts and Cracker Jack as the baseball season is just about here. I'll preview what the Mets and Yankees 2013 seasons will look like, break down all of the divisions, make my World Series predictions and attempt to do better with the over/under win totals for the year as well. Joining us will be Baseball Writer of America and editor-in-chief for www.baseballprospectus.com, John Perrotto, to handicap the upcoming season and share his thoughts on the Hall of Fame voting this past January where no player will be inducted for the first time since 1995. The Knicks are back in winning form as they've won four straight heading into the week. While the Nets are having a successful start to their West Coast trip going 3-1 through the first leg of their eight game trip. I'll take a lay of the land in the NBA and check in on whether the Heat can sustain their winning ways and go for 27 in a row. The shortened NHL season is about to enter the home stretch. The Rangers attempt to put some distance between their competitors fighting for the eighth and final seed in the Eastern Conference, as the Devils and Islanders push their way to leapfrog the Blueshirts and into the playoff picture. I'll deliver the latest on the ice as teams gear up for the final fifteen games of the season.
