On this 1st episode of of 2015, I'll be dicussing Aging Gracefully.. As I prepare for my 50th birthday this month, I'll be sharing with you the "do's and dont's", as it relates to getting older.
I'll be discussing weight, healthy skin care, proper sleep, diet and how to live longer and look younger by eliminating stress.

When taking care of an elderly parent, how many of you have actually given thought or made preparations ahead of time for the possible onslaught of health, emotional, financial and legal challenges that go along with caregiving.
Nearly 10 million adult children over age 50 now care for an aging parent. They are helping with helping with dressing, feeding, bathing, and other personal care needs. However, this level of help goes well beyond grocery shopping, driving parents to appointments, and helping them with financial matters. And it's more stressful as well.

Aging parents may be more controlling, meddling, jealously, demanding, fault, aggressiveness, or plays the victim when you just want to give them a comfortable and safe quality of life. Their behaviors stem from a variety of changes in their lives. Put yourself in their shoes, the loss of a spouse, friend's passing, failure completely drive, handling the changes in their health, encountering the need for help or the failure of their overall independence. A parent may have always been abstinent; however, the behaviors may intensify with confusion and fears. Felton Wooten is an author, workshop presenter, licensed Nursing Home Administrator and licensed Assistive Living Administrator. His most recent book is “Daddy the Other Parent”. He has co-authored an Abuse Prevention for the Caregiver Manual, developed a training DVD on elder abuse prevention and published an article in the Values Realization Journal on “Making a Career Change”.

Eating, exercising and drinking the correct water in a way that balances your body, is vital to improved over time health.
