Sobriety and the Native Path
He was always drawn to the natural world. Hunting and fishing were an early escape from his alcoholic environment but as life proceeded other escapes became “necessary”. A stint in the military and always on the lookout for a good business opportunity, a post military run at an illegal “sales position” led our guest to his first spiritual experience. Always a seeker he drank and drugged his way to the doors of a recovery program. Not satisfied with his “spiritual program” he dug deeper into his native roots and the Native way began to unfold. Join us to hear this fascinating and inspiring story.

Part 2 of the Native America Music and Musicians
Part 2 of the Native America Music and Musicians The Americas contain hundreds of native communities, each with its own distinctive history, language, and musical culture. These communities—although united in placing music at the centre of public life—have developed extraordinarily diverse and multifaceted performance traditions. In latter years, Native Americans have created a special niche in the music industry and within that niche have sprung a number of Native American Musicians and Genres.
This week hostess Lisa Sahani, WnT Board Member is joined by musical guest Steven Clawson. There is a SPECIAL SURPRISE planned during the show, so join us live!!
South Georgia native Steven Clawson is a blues, rock n’ roll and country which are on the same beat. That beat, mixed with a little Cajun roots brings a sound that Steven and his fans like to call “Southern Soul”. Steven’s love of music and performing began at an early age, with much encouragement from his family. He grew up in Thomasville, Ga., playing guitar and singing along to Garth Brooks. He decided to pursue his dreams and love for music by moving to Nashville with his wife, who he met in first grade. Steven also has a passion for songwriting, which has developed from being an avid reader. His musical influences include Elvis Presley, Kenny Loggins and his favorite country singer, Brooks.
