The Death Contingency
The Widow's Walk League
Regan McHenry is a Santa Cruz, California, Realtor whose work puts her in the midst of mystery, mayhem, and murder. The amateur sleuth uses tools and techniques she's learned during her career and skills she's honed as a keen observer of human nature to solve mysteries - just not always soon enough to stay out of trouble. She's aided in her sleuthing by her husband, Tom Kiley, a computer programmer turned real estate broker, and by her friend Dave Everett, a cop reassigned as a police public relations ombudsman after losing an eye in the line of duty.
All now available on Amazon Kindle.
Nancy Lynn Jarvis was a Santa Cruz, California, Realtor for twenty-five years but was having so much fun writing that she let her license lapse in May of 2013.
After earning a BA in behavioral science from San Jose State University, she worked in the advertising department of the San Jose Mercury News. A move to Santa Cruz meant a new job as a librarian and later a stint as the business manager of Shakespeare/Santa Cruz. Nancy's work history reflects her philosophy: people should try something radically different every few years. Writing is her newest adventure.
She put Regan, Tom , and Dave from the Regan McHenry Real Estate Mysteries Series on hiatus to write Mags and the AARP Gang, a comedy/adventure about a group of octogenarian would-be bank robbers, but she missed her characters, so they're back to solve another murder in recently released "The Murder House."

53 is the new 20 Nancy feels as if she's at the cusp of her life rather than dragging toward the end. At the age of 49, she believed suicide was her only choice. Major depression turned into a suicide attempt, yet four years later she's not the same woman.
Therapy unveiled the world of emotions, taught it is ok to pursue self-care, and expressed one's personal value at any age. God used this time to retrain me and to adjust her worldview.
Nancy's purpose is to tell people they are valuable and life will be worth it again one day, in hopes they will hang on to her story even when they have no faith in their own. In hopes they will hang on to my story even when they have no faith in their own.

Nancy Conkling discovered the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu during her own search for optimum health and well-being.
She has been a dedicated and compassionate Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner since 1993 and she offers private sessions for adults and children.
She also offers Jin Shin Jyutsu Self-Help Classes for those interested in learning easy methods that can assist them with their personal concerns.
Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient Japanese Healing Art which harmonizes body, mind and spirit. Virtually all traditional healing systems are founded on the principle that in order to heal the body, a person must strengthen and harmonize the flow of life energy (chi) within. The balance that Jin Shin Jyutsu brings to our body’s energies facilitates our own profound healing capacity, thus promoting optimal health and well-being.
Jin Shin Jyutsu is a valuable complement to conventional healing methods, inducing relaxation, reducing the effects of stress and boosting the immune system. This Art utilizes a light touch on 26 specific energy centers on each side of the body and can help a wide range of health issues. The resulting overall well-being and vitality from a session often releases the causes of both acute and chronic conditions.
For those addressing existing stress or health disharmonies and for those simply choosing to maintain health, harmony and well-being, the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu is a powerful and effective choice.

"According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the total number of people with DEMENTIA worldwide in 2015 is estimated at 47.5 million. The total number of new cases of dementia each year worldwide is nearly 7.7 million, implying 1 new case every 4 seconds. The number of people with dementia is expected to increase to 75.6 million in 2030 and 135.5 million in 2050". Think about it. These are BIG numbers and most of us, in one way or another, will be impacted by dementia in our lifetime.
To help us to help us understand what these numbers mean to us and our loves ones on a community level, we have invited CATHERINE SHEPHERD, Cape Breton - Education and Outreach, Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia, to the table.
I first met Catherine about two months ago when my family was trying to deal with a loved one’s diagnosis of dementia. Quite honestly, we were afraid and looking for guidance and support. From the get go, Catherine stepped into the fire, met us where we were, and offered step-by-step guidance, knowledge and reassurance at a time when all three were in short supply. I was very touched by this timely gift (for she was a gift!) and decided to dedicate this show to helping her share a message of hope, coping and perspective for those on a life altering journey called "dementia". Thank you Catherine for doing this beautiful work!
