PharmaGuy interviews Thomas P. Stossel, M.D., visiting scholar at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research, about his new book, PharmaPhobia, and his call to action against the "Conflict of Interest Movement."
In PHARMAPHOBIA: How the Conflict of Interest Myth Undermines American Medical Innovation (Rowman & Littlefield, April 2015), Tom Stossel describes how an ideological crusade, stretching over the last quarter century, has used distortion and flawed logic to make medical innovation even harder in a misguided pursuit of theoretical professional purity.
Questions/Topics of Discussion
What is the "conflict-of-interest myth" (you also refer to the "conflict-of-interest movement" and the "conflict-of-interest narrative")?
What regulations have been adopted as a result of this conflict-of-interest narrative?
Are there legitimate conflict-of-interest concerns that should be addressed by policymakers?
How have bureaucrats, reporters, politicians, and lawyers benefitted by attacking the medical products industry?
What solutions and reforms do you advocate?

The revolution of the mind continues.
In the wake of the decision not to prosecute Wilson, Black people have been bombarded by whites and popular mainstream Black talking heads regarding our supposed "forgetfulness" about what they call "Black on Black" crime.
This concept is a fallacy, a myth and a way to distract the conversation from exposing the supremacy roots that permeate our legal system.
Or do they have a point? Let's debate it.

I am telling yall that these hoes aint going to be about shit. We are talking about Black female models, black female strippers, and black female hoodrats twerking on the internet for likes and losing all possible credibility as mothers and care givers. These same women want to be treated as queens, yet they stay exposing themselves like whores. No wonder why black kids do so terrible in school because these hoes are their mothers. When will these "meangirlz" stop making bad decisions ??? Weighed in by Oshay the great!
Vampires...alot can be said to their existance or not. Truth is that there is actually reality behind all the movies that we see. Valhensing and dracula do exsist. People do drink blood on a regular, are extremely sensative to sun light, are born with fangs, can sniff out anothers blood. All myths are backed up by some truths.
Gerald Roliz -- author of The Pharmaceutical Myth -- pulls back the curtain on the pharmaceutical sales industry, revealing how he was trained to use fear, pressure, and gifts to "buy out" doctors who would prescribe the medications he represented. Plus, what made him walk away from it all to help people heal naturally.

Calling all men. You are invited to join me on Monday, June 1st @ 9pm ET as I welcome Pastor John K. Jenkins, Sr. to The Real Talk with Chris Richardson Show. Help me SPREAD the WORD. This is a special MAN TALK segment for MEN ONLY. Ladies are encouraged to LISTEN.
Topic: Marriage - The Man, The Myth and His Identity
Featured Guest: Pastor John K. Jenkins, Sr.
Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr. has been preaching the Good News since he was licensed as a minister at 15 years old. From an early age, he developed a love for the Lord and felt a call to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
His pastoral journey began in February 1987 when he was called to serve as the senior pastor at Union Bethel Church in King George, Va. Nearly three years of pastoring at Union Bethel proved to be the training ground for his upcoming assignment. In October of 1988, Pastor Jenkins learned of the passing of his pastor and mentor, Dr. John W. Johnson, from his home church at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden.
One year after Dr. Johnson's passing, Pastor Jenkins returned to First Baptist to become the seventh shepherd. The fruit of his biblically based teaching is evidenced in the growth of church membership from 500 to more than 10,000. Today, an average 11,000 people attend weekly Sunday services between two campuses located in Landover and Upper Marlboro, Md.
Even with his many obligations, Pastor Jenkins holds his role as family man as the highest treasure. He and his wife are the proud parents of six children and one granddaughter.

Recently I viewed a UK television show called Survivors and besides being an arm chair critic of the lack of reality of actual scenarios, such as a breach birth and a perfectly clean baby along with a medical emergency where CPR was initated and the patient who just birthed the baby as well, revived perky as ever, I found the show somewhat informative but perhaps not in the way you might think.

Letting go is so much easier said than done. Our tendency is to hold on with all our might…if we just held on a little tighter, we would get what we wanted. If only we could hold on a little stronger, then we would be happy. Then one day we realize, it’s not in the holding on, it’s in the letting go. When we learn to let go, we are free. By how do we do that? I was never taught how to let go in school. Were you?
We learn through the School of Life. Today on Love, Trust & Pixie Dust, MIT molecular biologist turned philosophical author Greg Marcus, Ph.D. and I have an important lesson to share with you. Come join us as we share a radical method for letting go.
