Backlash against Senators on gun vote
Backlash against Senators on gun vote! According to Public Policy Polling, "New PPP polls in Alaska, Arizona, Nevada, and Ohio find serious backlash against the 5 Senators who voted against background checks in those states. Each of them has seen their approval numbers decline, and voters say they're less likely to support them the next time they're up for reelection. That's no surprise given that we continue to find overwhelming, bipartisan support for background checks in these states."

The George W. Bush Legacy
Certainly just an opinion like any other and certainly open to criticism and disagreement. But with all the talk of George W. Bush's legacy, what the polls now show, and going forward how time may judge him, I wanted to give my own unprofessional critique of Bush's presidency. Most importantly, I want to set the stage for what he truly inheirited in terms of a "surplus", great economy from Clinton, and examine the accusations of 9-11 being his fault and the "Great Recession" being his fault. This certainly is not meant to be an apologist show for Bush's presidency, but merely looks to "set the record straight" on some of the more vicious lies used against him by his political opponents. As president, he made some mistakes and the mistakes he made are ones he should be held accountable for. But, as Glenn Beck recently said, "the truth matters" and in the span of half an hour, I'll try to get to the truth of the matter.

Are we African/Afro-American, Black, or Negro?
Recent Gallup Polls shows that there is a lot of confusion amongst ourselves. We are not on one accord when it comes to what we call ourselves. 20% said Black. 20% said African-American. And 60% did not care one way or the other. Really? Could this be the reason for many of the issues in our community? The reason that we are so divided within our community. Something so simple, or one would think. This question is at the root of a bitter national controversy over the proper designation for identifiable Americans of African descent and has been since before the 19th century.Does African/Afro American properly identify who we are? Is Black simply a color, a skin tone, not used to define a entire race? Have we done to much damage to even consider the resurrection of the Negro?
