Joining Life Coach Ade for "Eradicate Domestic Violence" are Jenny Cressman of Muskoka Women’s Advocacy Group, Mike Giordano - Psychotherapist, Lauren C. Vaughan, Exec. Director of My Sister's Place and Ron Burnette (Personal Story). They come together to reveal their professional and personal experiences of the impact of Domestic Violence on the individual, families and our communities.
While we would hope that everyone has the pleasure of enjoying safe, healthy harmonious relationships with well-defined boundaries that bring out the best in one another, there are some relationships where this is not the case. Relationships are a sacred practice, but unfortunately too many are scared for their life because of their partners.
"Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behavior exhibited by one person towards another between whom there is a relationship. Domestic violence is characterized by the misuse of power and control. It includes physical, emotional, psychological, verbal, sexual, and economic abuse. Domestic violence is not a 'momentary loss of temper,' but an ongoing technique used by the batterer to enforce control through the use of fear." Quote from My Sister's Place website
We have a panel of guests joining Life Coach Ade to explore healthier options for loving that recognize the full worth of all men and women; and help to heal the hurt of the abused and the abuser.

Some of the most common questions we get asked in my business have to do with building and the building process. What should I build, do I need a permit to make "modest" alterations to my existing home or cottage and where do I go to get started.
Tonight, I'll talk to Helen Vock, who's a certified building inspector and designer. Helen is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to building codes, home and cottage design and we'll talk about why so many people "get it wrong", when they build, either from scratch or renovate an existing structure. Feel free to call with any questions!

Wendy is a teacher/counselor/therapist facilitating workshops and retreats in Huntsville, Ontario. The drawings have been shown in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Glastonbury, Beijing, France and Australia. Wendy is writing a book about her journey. There is a documentary film, directed by Jeremiah Munce, ‘the Alma drawings’ with Vision TV, that won Best Direction, Canadian Spectrum, Short-Mid-length film category, at Toronto’s Hot Docs International Film Festival.
About Alma Rumball
Alma’s family pioneered in Muskoka in the 1870’s. Following a vision of Jesus, she became a clairvoyant recluse, at age 50, creating intricate, coloured pen and ink drawings, born of a rich inner life. She watched, as “The Hand” drew by itself, unfamiliar forms, faces, characters, separate from her consciousness. Tibetan gods, which have been identified by the Dali Lama's spiritual advisor, Joan of Arc figures and tales of Atlantis revealed themselves. As a Christian, she never claimed credit nor understanding. She said she didn’t do them - “The Hand” did. They have been called “the sacred language of light, activation drawings, with codes embedded in them for the evolution of humanity at this time.” These codes may be accessed through meditation.
Alma's images of heaven and messages of peace may offer us a blueprint for living, plus a warning that if we do not change our ways, our fate could be similar to that of the lost civilization of Atlantis.
