Here Comes a New Challenger: The Fine Art of Multiplayer

    in Video Games

Games have always been inherently multiplayer. Sure, we can play them on our own, but the real fun comes when we can gather a group of friends and battle through the next dungeon -- or fling turtle shells at one another on the race track!

This week, the GCR Crew dissects, investigates, and unravels the nature of multiplayer gaming in all of its facets. Whether its on the console, PC, or even at the gaming table, multiplayer gaming is an ever-changing concept that continues to grow and become re-imagined even today.

Also, tune in as Scott reviews his latest trip to the ACD Games Day convention. It was an exciting ride, so don't miss out!

Co-operative Multiplayer Live # 108- The NX has its Fallout

    in Video Games

This week, there's big news coming about the Nintendo NX, Destiny 2 apparently exists and is being developed, Square-Enix wants to keep doing remakes, Harmonix confirms Rock Band 3 will export into Rock Band 4, and EA wants to make more new IP's too.

However, we start by discussing what we've been playing, which for Marc it was completing Life is Strange and Tales from the Borderlands. Sean beat Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 1, played some Blood Bowl 2, and both Sean and Marc played some Tales of Zestria as well.

The guys then go through all of the big news that happened in gaming since last week, which includes everything in the headline, and even more including: The September NDP info, Konami shooting down Hideo Kojima rumors again, Blizzard making their own E-Sports division and a whole lot more.

We end things by looking at the new releases and if we'd buy any of them.

    Co-operative Multiplayer Live # 105- No Single-Player For You

    in Video Games

This week, Sean and Marc discuss if Gamestop is correct in thinking that physical video games will be around forever, although there is a significant decline in physical media sales.

We also discuss if we like binge watching shows, like the way Netflix puts things out, or if we are more traditonalists and want to watch things episodically.

There's also the controversial actions by Ubisoft and Activision involving singleplayer in their games, or really the lack thereof. Sony not making another Playstation Vita, more developers heading to Kickstarter and more.

Marc is reviewing NBA 2K16 and played some anime fighting game, while Sean continues down the road of playing past versions of Rock Band.

VOC Video Games: Co-operative Multiplayer Live # 98- The Fantasy of Choice

    in Video Games

I want to apologize for taking such a long and unintended break. Sean has been consumed by the NJPW G1 Climax 25, personal issues, work, and the need for sleep. So, the last thing he did in that time off was do stuff with video games.

However, Sean and Marc are back with the first of two shows this week. This will cover pretty much everything we missed before Gamescom happened.

Then tomorrow we will discuss what occurred at Gamescom 2015 and more.

We still have plenty to discuss today such as: Square-Enix declaring Final Fantasy VII Remake to see dramatic changes, rumors of a possible Final Fantasy XII Remaster, China lifting their home console ban, Tomb Raider being exclusive for a year and a lot more.

Marc also discusses what he's playing and Sean just tries to get through it all.
