"Damn, You Talk Too Much!" - COCKTAIL CONVERSATIONS - David Glover on KLJN 107.7

    in Radio

Research say women speak 20,000 words a day compared to men who speak 7000 words, is there ever a time when women should stop talking and just listen, damn just SHUT UP PLEASE, we will be looking at a scenario with this being the case.
Ezra and Wanda have been dating for 6 months and both are career minded and focused. Ezra was an Assistant Director at a Juvenile Detention Home while Wanda was a Social Worker at a Nursing Home. Despite their demanding jobs both had their passions. Ezra was working on developing a Urban Tee Shirt Business,  Wanda was one of the best jewelry makers around, due to their demanding jobs and their other businesses they barely had time to see each other on a consistent basis but when they spoke on the phone, Wanda dominated the entire conversation, if they set aside a hour to catch up on what's been going on in each others life, Wanda would dominate, but her input would be negative, complaints about her job, family, jewelry business, and ex husband. Eventually Ezra grew tired of listening to this same old song over and over. He was looking for balance.  Someone he could share his world with and that was not happening with Wanda. When he wanted her to talk between the sheets she was typically quiet, go figure!!!. Eventually they had a massive blow up when Ezra had enough and told Wanda she talks too damn much and he did not want to hear another damn thing about her Ex, and nothing negative about her job... in this day and age she should be blessed she is working. Wanda felt he was rude and they ended what they had. Do you think Ezra was insensitive and Wanda was better off without Ezra?

And now on with the show....here is The Controversial Counselor, David Glover.

Why's Hillary Clinton getting so much press?

    in Politics Conservative

So much of the buzz this week has been about Hillary Clinton.

Maybe even more so in conservative circles than among Democratic Party operatives.

Sure, the scorn conservatives now pile on Clinton may be well deserved...

But what other important data points are we missing while so many obsess over this one aging awkward Democrat?

America continues in its decline. And Hillary Clinton may be the perfect distraction.

Immigration, the economy, other matters of real imporatance seem to have been bumped deeper to the back of most Americans minds as we seemingly obsess over Hillary.

Among the things we've taken note of is how pricey some home repair or home maintenence services have become. Is the dollar rapidly shriking? Or is it that people are overpaying simply because they over-estimate the skill set required to make things happen?

Don and Doug continue connecting the dots in these perilous times in this Friday's webcast.

Pets Teach Us So Much Radio 157 with Robbin and Joseph Everett

    in Pets

Award winning Director and Co-writter of the Award Winning Movie, White God, Kornel Mundruczo join's us this week.

Winner of the Prize Un Certain Regard Award at this year’s Cannes Festival, Kornel Mundruczo’s newest film is a story of the indignities visited upon animals by their supposed “human superiors,” but it’s also an brutal, beautiful metaphor for the political and cultural tensions sweeping contemporary Europe. When young Lili is forced to give up her beloved dog Hagen, because it's mixed-breed heritage is deemed 'unfit' by The State, she and the dog begin a dangerous journey back towards each other. At the same time, all the unwanted, unloved and so-called 'unfit' dogs rise up under a new leader, Hagen, the one-time housepet who has learned all too well from his 'Masters' in his journey through the streets and animal control centers how to bite the hands that beats him …

“FIERCE AND BEAUTIFUL. Extraordinarily choreographed.” – Manohla Dargis, The New York Times

"REMARKABLE AND RIVETING. This surprising movie is perhaps the most memorable of all the films I saw at this year's Cannes Film Festival. It's haunting, and quite extraordinary." - Pete Hammond, Deadline Hollywood

"Emotionally rousing and technically masterful." – Guy Lodge, Variety

“A triumphantly idiosyncratic film with smarts and visceral impact in equal measure.” – Jessica Kiang, The Playlist on Indiewire

“A potent metaphor for everything from immigration to the abuse of power, with it’s striking finale serving as stark warning about our own arrogant belief that we’ll always be at the top of the food chain.” – Alistair Harnkess, The Scotsman
