Kelly Morrissy zapping Hair for the Trans community
I’ve been zapping hairs since 1986 and I began working with the gender community in 1990. Electrolysis by Kelly Inc began when I started working out of my house. At the time almost all of my clients were transgender. However, when I moved my business to the Oak Park Mall slowly I got more clients, both transgender and the general public. www.IZapEm.com
Over the last 27 years I learned a lot. From other electrologists, experience, attending seminars and doing continuing education. And a lot from just listening to my clients. No two clients are the same, and to treat everyone in the same way doesn't produce the best possible results. I strive to help each client the best way they need.
There hasn't been new research for probes for electrolysis since 1970. I though that a small change to exposed tip length would make a big difference to comfort when removing shallow hairs.
It sounded good to the people at Laurier Instruments who make hand make these probes, so they made up a batch of probes that incorporated my ideas and gave them to the electrologist community to try out. The feedback was overwhelmingly, wildly positive and the "Kelly" Tip entered production in 2013.

KOKUMỌ
KOKUMO is an African-American transgender woman and product of Chicago’s South Side. While growing up, the only messaging she received in regards to her identity was that it would lead to either death or institutionalization. Therefore, upon reaching the age of opportunity she was behooved to give herself a name that spoke of life. After an extensive search and emotional journey she discovered KOKUM?. KOKUM? means, “This one will not die” in Yoruba, a West African language.
To KOKUM? surviving is passé. Therefore, she believes in sanctioning artistic, political, and actual space for other Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, and Intersex (TGI) people of color to thrive in. In accordance to this belief and her name, she created KOKUM?MEDIA. KOKUM?MEDIA uses film, music, and literature to create and generate realistic depictions of TGI people of color.
KOKUM?MEDIA has produced some of the most innovative projects and events in the multimedia industry. From the one- transwoman show, The Faggot Who Could Fly to T.G.I.F. (TGI Freedom) Rally and Picnic, KOKUM? is stoking the flames of a renaissance. Her EP, There Will Come a Day debuted in February 2013. MXTalkRadio – Catanzaro, Walker, Scuba, Wey, Champion
This week: Catanzaro, Walker, Scuba, Wey and Champion
A show packed with guests always is a solid starting point for a great show. AJ Catanzaro kicked it off with a privateers take on SX 2013… his segment is not to be missed as he absolutely puts into perspective what it’s like financially and emotionally to be a privateer from empty bank accounts to tears of joy he takes us through his 2013 season.
Matt Walker was our “where are they now” guest for this episode and it was a refreshing change of pace. Matt has his shit together and has a plan, and it’s nice to hear. Matt talked candidly about MotoXCompound.com, Training, Career Highlights and Money.
“Scuba” Steve Clarke was as full of personality as we would have expected. Scuba brought us up to speed on his SMS ride, his MTF training, living the Moto Lifestyle and his thoughts on 2013 SX and beyond.
Next up Nick Wey joined MXTalkRadio for the umpteenth time. Nick has had quite a season starting with broken vertebrae in his back last year, announcing at SX and now prepping for 2013 MX Nats. Nick was a handful like normal darting from Mafia Moto Crew ideas to calling Bodybag out for trying to sponsor Dowd, good times with Nick.
Last up but not to be ignored or written off, Scott Champion came on to bring us up to speed on his season, Starbucks, Chicks and his buddy Sonny.
