Dr. Chaps reports on these important issues:
* The Muslim Brotherhood continues to kill Christians in Egypt with your tax dollars.
* Interview with Samya Johnson, a Lebanese Christian woman who explains the difference between Christian martyrs and Muslim martyrs. Is there really a moderate version of Islam?

We'll talk live with Syeda Jafri, of the Rialto school district. Redlands police ticket distracted drivers using cell phones. Unemployment Insurance benefit extentions get a no-go vote. Back in 2010 Barbara Olschner felt compelled to run for Congress in Florida's 2nd District, a generally Democratic district that many in the GOP felt was vulnerable. As a moderate, thoughtful, logical Republican, she thought perhaps her chances were good. Little did she know that a Tea Party wave was on the way. We'll speak with Barbara about her experiences, which she's chronicled in her new book, The Reluctant Republican. Join us for this insider's view Presented
What's the deal with "moderate" Christians? They distance themselves from the conservatives by claiming that they're not ideologically driven and instead support liberalism, but enable the fundamentalists by either keeping silent or failing to push back against Christian hegemony. You will never see them engage in acts of public buffoonery such as "love marches", but they hardly command any consistent intellectual real estate in public or social media. So, what
On this week's Wilshire & Washington, Ted Johnson, Maegan Carberry, Kristen Soltis and No Labels Founding Leader Jonathan Miller discuss the power of moderates in today's political culture. Obama seems unable to please the independents and moderates who supported him in 2008, none of the politicians involved in the debt ceiling debate seem to be taking a moderate position, and the Republican presidential field leans very far to the right. Can moderates survive in
There is always huge talk of taxes when it comes to politics. Whether it's the tax and spend liberal Democrats (GOP talking point) or the cut taxes for the rich, abolish the IRS conservative Republicans (Democrat talking point) nothing really ever changes. We have more of same the problems year after year. That is mainly because all these politicians do is talk and do not do much acting. We will discuss the many possible plans floating out there as well as discuss our current situation.
Tonight show will be about the current headlines about equal pay, ACA, Paul Ryan's budget, ect. This years election is shaping up to be democrats pitting republicans as having a "War on Women" and a "War on Poverty" while republicans are basically claiming the ACA, position on abortion, and gay marriage stance is a "War on Liberty", War on Christians", and a "War on Business" It's time to wake up a realize these individuals only care up us when it comes to votes. These are all issues that take up significant time and tax payer money for our congress to discuss and give speeches. Instead of working on real solutions to the problems that plague our nation they focus on things theyh have no control over and things that don't necessarily have a large effect on the whole of America.

”All who listen to my instructions and follow them are wise, like a man who builds his house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents, and the floods rise and the storm winds beat against his house; it won’t collapse, for it is built on rock” (Matthew 7:24-25 LB).

An article in this week's The Nation, Will Phony Populists Hijack the Fight Against Inequality? discusses inequality and how politicians can use this buzzword to appeal to progressives, the 99%, even folks in the Occupy movement. What happens when fake progressives hijack the words, the language, the discussion of any issue is the cynical leave-behind of little action, futile measures, and in some cases, actual worsening of the problem with the supposed solutions.
Around the Inland Empire, I have heard numerous folks talk about how they are progressive. Today, I received an email from Tom Swann of Veterans for Peace, about a candidate for Assembly in the Palm Springs area who recently declared that she had always been a "Progressive Democrat." Tom noted, no, in fact, during a previous campaign over 10 years ago, she was the lowest vote-getter in a Republican primary.
As more people tire of the same old rhetoric and solutions offered by moderate Democrats and Republicans, they are beginning to realize that the bold solutions of the progressive movement are what has solved some great challenges before and could again. The phonies know this, and are cynical, political, and unprincipled enough to jump onto the bandwagon, happily wearing a wool cap, advocating bold solutions, pronouncing nearly socialist rhetoric and beyond, but actually pushing more of the same with all the usual suspects.
Dear Vecino, we will have to be very watchful for what big teeth they have.
