Come join us as we continue our preseason previews. This week we're going to cover the MVSU Delta Devils, this is a team that at one point in the 80's laid the blueprint for what a high powered offense could be. But now those days are far in the rear view mirror. The last couple years the Devils leaned on a stout and star studded defense but the offense left lots to be desired. Now with a new coach and lots of hype the Devils have high hopes for the season. We'll dive into the numbers and see if the Devils and make a rise. Lots of facts with my own humble opinions sprinkled in.

Louie Miller is the director of the Mississippi Chapter of the Sierra Club, which has been working to protect the health of communities and the environment in the Magnolia State for more than two decades. Louie has led cutting-edge campaigns and has built powerful, diverse coalitions of community groups, working with some of the South’s most celebrated community and environmental justice advocates in the process.
Miller has earned national attention for his work challenging Mississippi Power’s Kemper County coal plant, the only coal plant to break ground during the Obama Administration and likely the last coal plant that will ever be built in the United States. From the beginning, Louie challenged the plant for being “dirty, expensive, and unnecessary.”
Louie lives outside Jackson, Miss., on a farm with several beloved dogs and enjoys trips to the beach with his family.

Meet the first African American Stewardess hired by Delta Air Lines in1966 !
In all of the stories about aviation and its history, the stories of the first African American stewardesses have been left untold and unknown. We first took to the skies when flying was glamorous and exclusive and little girls dreamt of being stewadesses, models, or movie stars. We rubbed elbows with the elite and we traveled the world when few others could. We flew as pioneers in a global society long before the time of the Internet and globalization. We also kept our heads high facing down racial prejudice and discrimination. We lived as Stars in the Sky
Patricia Grace Murphy was the first African American Stewardess to break the color barrier for Delta Air Lines. Pat's stories and other pioneers in aviation are featured in my book Stars in the Sky which will be released in November. Visit the archives to hear the show and listen to my call in guest Terry Taylor another African American Stewardess featured in my book, exchange stories with Pat about the early years of flying. We were also honored to have Pat's first supervisior, June Huerman share some stories about those turbulent days and assisting Pat with her new life in aviation.
Please listen each week for updates on my book, or visit my website www.theflygirl10.com
