Kristin Hummel is the Lead Medical Advisor of Miscarriage Matters Incorporated, a 501(c)3 public charity based in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.
Kristin did not have a personal or family history of miscarriage or stillbirth. She had her firstborn child, a daughter, after an uncomplicated pregnancy. When she found out was pregnant with her second child, her daughter was only 8 months old. It was sooner than she would have preferred but she found herself excited and happy after getting over the initial shock. She wasn't concerned when the midwife wasn't able to find a heartbeat, she just assumed it was the positioning and too early in the pregnancy. Unfortunately, at 12 weeks pregnant, she miscarried her baby in a traumatizing experience at her OB office.
Kristin was depressed after her miscarriage and did not receive any support or help from the OB practice. She found the whole experience to be very cold and heartless, despite the fact that she lost a baby and felt she needed warm sympathy and understanding. Her family was shocked and saddened but weren't much help since they weren't experienced. She soon realized the subject was taboo- not welcomed to be spoken of. So she put the whole experience behind her, shutting off her grief and pain, burying it deep within.
It wasn't until Kristin was in nursing school and sitting in a class for her maternity education that her experience came back to haunt her.

“I’ve been a Caroline Sutherland fan ever since the first moment I met her in the ’90s. In fact, she fulfilled a dream of mine. At our first meeting, Caroline looked at me, clearly saw my deficiencies and nutritional needs, and on the spot designed a special plan for my particular body. I felt understood for the first time.”

Sandra Jones-Keller turned her journey of a high-risk pregnancy into life altering work for other women and couples. Taking her 20 plus years of spiritual studies and healing energy work, Sandra developed techniques to easily teach pregnant women and new moms how to have two-way communication with their babies. “We have all heard how important it is to communicate with your unborn/new born child, to talk to them regularly so they can hear and know your voice. But most people are not aware that their babies can communicate back to them,” states Jones-Keller. “Use of our intuitive muscles is essential in this new age with these new age spirits being born for a deeper level of bonding, partnership and understanding,” she continues.
Sandra also works with women and couples trying to get pregnant. Her firm yet gentle approach requires participants to look within to start clearing out any blocks that may hinder a spirit from coming through. She believes getting pregnant is not all about biology and addresses spiritual aspects as well. Find Sandra - Click Here

you will heal from this… it is but another pearl of wisdom, for your sacred treasure box… you are not an entertainer...to bee paraded in someone elses bipolar purpose driven fulfilling freak show… you are not a slave on anyones auction block...to bee fondled examined and explored at whim in full view of public eye...you are not some spineless fragile thing...that must accept the pain and servitude of bondange...be it mental physical emotional or spritual…
you came into this world...with purpose...with divine will...and jaguar heart… your own birth mother...could not strip you of this...identity… this sense of divine justice and retribution...many have tried to break you… to belittle you… to take away who you know yourself to bee… and yet...you...stand… you crawl...you get back up...telling this world system to kiss your ass...because you will not… bow, eyes lowered, while you spread your cheeks...to the ravagement of your spirit…
Sam Thurman, Cliff Stewart and Lisa Stewart of the Colorado exoneration firm A Just Cause, discuss what happens when the wheels of justice trample unbridled over the rights of innocent Americans.
Although the American system of justice is the most-respected worldwide, it is still a system designed, and operated, by humans, which means it's not perfect. Sam, Cliff, and Lisa will highlight ongoing struggles against "the system" to free wrongfully imprisoned people, and what happens when justice miscarries against an actually innocent person.
Our Special Guests for tonight's show are C. Ronald Huff, Professor of Criminology, Law & Society at UC Irvine, and Donald S. Connery, Author & Independent Journalist, who has for over three decades investigated and helped expose other cases of convictions based on false confessions.
A Just Cause is currently campaigning for "FreeTheIRP6," who's been wrongly imprisoned in Florence, CO for a crime they didn't commit. Read full story: www.freetheirp6.org.

Sowing your royal oats can get one in a lot of trouble especially if you're not ready to deal with them. Such is the case of a friend of mine, here is his tale....
I'm a single guy of marriage age but I still haven't found that special woman to settle down with, while waiting, I have been playing the field. Recently I got a cold call from an Ex-fling who happens to be a Family Friend (we've messed around a few times) saying she is pregnant for me.
I do not want to marry her but at the same time I don't want to have a child out of wedlock. My mom is ecstatic about the news because the girl's mom is one of her BFFs. Matter of fact she is already shopping for Aso-ebi and planning a quick wedding. Thing though is I do not love this girl. My mom is awaiting my go ahead to plan things in full gear, what do I do or say??
There we have it folks!!! What should this brother do??? Join us on Tuesday as we swap tales and learn a thing or 2??

WHAT IS FETICIDE, WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH WOMEN’S HEALTH CARE, AND DID SOMEONE SET THE CLOCK BACK?
Did you hear about the Indiana woman who had a miscarriage and was sent to jail for 40 years for “feticide?” Or the woman, also in Indiana, who attempted to commit suicide while she was pregnant and spent a year in jail for harming the baby? These aren’t isolated cases, and they aren’t all happening in Indiana. One study actually found hundreds of cases where women were arrested for doing something while pregnant that some official found harmful to their pregnancies.
So what does this mean for women around the country? And what about health care in general? Has health care reform and resultant hospital mergers have an impact on women, on pregnancies, on you?
Join us Saturday as we talk with Rachel Berkson, NARAL Pro-Choice Washington Executive Director. Rachel has been Associate Director of Washington Community Action Network. the Executive Director of the SEIU Washington State Council, where her primary focus was coordinating the union’s joint political and legislative programs, and from 2000 - 2006 was a lead organizer with the Working Families Party, a labor and community-based grassroots political party in New York State. Join us as we hash over what’s happening with pregnant women and politics, women’s health care, and where we are headed when it comes to women’s health in this country.
