Kerby Jackson is an author, gold miner and historian living in Southern Oregon's Rogue River Valley. A well known mining rights advocate, he has represented the mining community on public issues and been interviewed on mining related topics and mining history by the Grants Pass Daily Courier, Medford Mail Tribune, The Portland Oregonian, ABC, NBC and Oregon Public Broadcasting. He wrote a regular column on local mining history for the Apple Rogue Times and for the Roseburg Beacon, 1859 Oregon Magazine and numerous internet sites.
In early 2013, Jackson sued Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber and three Oregon State Senators for passing state legislation that attacked mining rights.
He is the author of numerous articles and books, including Gold Dust: Stories of Oregon's Mining Years, The Golden Trail: More Stories from Oregon's Mining Years, The Troubled Land and The Long Dark Trail.

Violinist turned author ERICA MINER is an award-winning screenwriter, author, journalist and lecturer. From Detroit, she studied music at Boston University with Boston Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Joseph Silverstein; the New England Conservatory of Music; & the Tanglewood Music Center where she performed with sLeonard Bernstein. Erica performed with the prestigious Metropolitan Opera Company for twenty-one years, where she worked with maestro James Levine.
Erica’s screenplays have won awards in WinFemme, Santa Fe and the Writer’s Digest.
Erica penned the novel & screenplay Travels With My Lovers-winner of the fiction prize in the Direct from the Author Book Awards, the TV Series Bible for FourEver Friends (a chronicle of four teenage girls coming of age). Erica has also written the screenplay of her suspense thriller novel Murder In The Pit, published in 2010 by Twilight Times Books.
Erica lectures at workshops on writing and on opera at venues across the West Coast, including the Wagner Societies of Los Angeles, San Diego and Northern California, & on the High Seas. She is a 'top-rated' speaker for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Topics range from "The Art of Self Re-Invention" to "Journaling for Writers: Mining the Gold of Your Own Experiences” and "Opera Meets Hollywood." Her writing has appeared in Vision Magazine, WORD San Diego, Istanbul Our City, and many E-zines.
An alternative photographer and fine artist, Bettie Grace Miner creates art pieces that combine photography and painting techniques. Miner’s creative roots originally began in music, evolving into the fine arts.
A lover of music, Miner began a series of jazz art spanning seven years and culminating into more than one hundred images of jazz artists and music inspired art. Exhibits, limited edition prints, posters, Giclees, collectible books and more have brought the faces of contemporary jazz musicians to fans worldwide.
Miner creates art featured by numerous jazz and blues festivals benefiting national charities. Her dedication to children’s causes, environmental, wildlife, and art programs has been a heartfelt and ongoing ambition.
