This is the inaugural show of of America's Disabled Veterans in Action
We are here to intorduce our hosts and share in a General Session where we are speaking up about what is going on in the Veteran community. We will be taking calls sharing Ideas and bringing Guests to you to discuss veterans issues and issues that affect their families. We hope to help spur a better quality of life for veterans by helping Veterans have a place that you can come to for civil discussion about current affairs or just to hang out for fellowship
We are a group of disabled Veterans who are active advocates for the rights of veterans who have served in the United States Military and their families. We advocate for the rights of veterans. We talk to the the poloticians who want to talk to us and we promote Americanism and common issues all veterans face
What is the quality of life for the average US Veteran? One thing I know, from experience. The average veteran turns fault on self before pointing fingers. When will Veterans get to the top of America's to-do-list? We tweeted this question and this show to every group listed below. I pose the same quesion to every American. When will Veterans get to the top of all Americans to-do-list?
President Barack Obama
Congress 435 members
Senate 100 members
Governors 50 of y'all
State legislators salaried too
Mayors across America
Clergy especially y'all with great donations thanks to 501c
When will Veterans get to the top of America's To-Do-List. Veterans are some of America's proudest citizens. They voluntarily gave their time to make America as safe as possible. They are not receiving the return they deserve.
Veterans need all kinds of services average citizen needs as well as services that are totally service related. The kindest thing I can say about saying to veterans "thank you for your service is that statement is comes across as disingenuous. There are veterans we meet everyday who we do not know to be veterans. This is why saying thank you for your service is not enough. Veterans need to feel in their everyday life that America is indeed thankful for the services given to this "ungrateful country. And guess what guys? Veterans will scold me for saying this country is ungrateful, for the veterans I know love this country and have never ever said a negative word about America. I know veterans who died early and I attribute those early deaths to suffering and disappointment they lived with after serving this country.
When will Veterans get to the top of America's to-do-list?
Tune in to VOW Talk Radio as special guests from Air Compassion For Veteterans join us!
Air Compassion for Veterans® serves to ensure that no financially-stressed wounded warrior, veteran, or adversely-affected family member is denied access to: • Distant, specialized medical evaluation • Diagnosis • Treatment • Counseling • Rehabilitation • Healing and restorative programs • Programs assisting with reintegration into a productive life ACV is committed to the ongoing healing process of our nation’s injured veterans. We also provide medical air transportation for older veterans–those serving prior to the OIF/OEF conflict. We are the major link that connects veterans of all ages to life-saving and life-changing programs.
The influx of wounded warriors during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom is, and has been, a strain on our military medical facilities. Thousands of these injured and ill men and women need to reach specialized medical facilities, especially as close as possible to their families. The military cannot always provide the needed transportation, and other options may not be available. The majority of ACV missions are through commercial airline tickets. We also provide air ambulance service for qualified non-ambulatory patients.
Can we come together and get our Veterans to the top of America's to-do-list? We know politicians lie to all of us. But for once can we all have the same agenda. Our Veterans?
Our Veterans paid prices and it is time America delivers on the promises to Veterans. Many who hold elected offices today have blocked veteran bills; passed frivolous bills; and allowed the providing of veteran services to last longer than many of the veterans themselves. The Iraq war reaped corporations billions in no bid contracts. Now they can make lives better by providing jobs to the masses. More people paying taxes means more revenue to keep our promises to veterans. Veterans need US to remember why they are Veterans. They volunteered to serve this country. They have service related needs. We have to make sure every elected official know we care as they have showed us they care. Our veterans have died and risked death for us. No greater gift can a man give than to give his life for his brethren.
Veterans, Administration; President Barack Obama; Congress 435 members; Senate 100 members; Governors 50 of y'all; State legislators; Americas Mayors; Clergy especially y'all with great donations thanks to 501c; and Americas businesses large and small, do your civic duty!
Veterans voluntarily gave time/lives to make America as safe as possible. And what do we have to show for it?
Veterans need job ready services; affordable adequate housing; meals fit for heroes; supplemental income; accessible medical care like elected officials and their families enjoy.

This week we take a look at the elevated unemployment rate amongst veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. While nobody wants to see any American citizen struggle to find a job, the rate for veterans is especially disturbing. There are many factors involved in this disturbing information, and we break them down during the program.
With so many important news stories out there today, sometimes our military news get’s overlooked. Well here on All American Veterans, that simply won’t be the case. In future programs, you’ll be hearing from military leaders, past and present, as we discuss the news that affects our nation’s heroes. We also talk to some of the most patriotic Americans in the entertainment industry who have proven throughout the years that our military heroes hold a special place in their hearts.
Recently I sat down with Mr. Lee Greenwood to talk about his unwavering support for our troops, and you’ll be amazed at how much the singer best known for his hit song “God Bless the USA” does to support the men and women who sacrifice so much for this great nation.

It is common for Adult Learners, including Student Veterans, to experience periods of low self-esteem and related depression. This is reflected in their attitude and the way they perceive themselves before and after tests and job interviews. Many persons with disability (i.e., emotional challenges, invisible/learning/mental disabilities) are even more susceptible to negative images of themselves. Holding onto negative self-images will result in making excuses to justify dropping-out. Dr. Applewhite, Host, and special guests share techniques for raising self-esteem and changing our attitudes towards self and our world. Listen to the episodes of the Student2Teacher ™ show any day of the week and see our schedule of LIVE shows by visiting the RADIO section at www.whiteappleinstitute.org .
