Millennials, like baby boomers, is a term used to reference a group of people born specifically between 1977 and 1999.They are also referred to as Generation Y due to their inquisitive nature, being the first generation to grow up with computers. The term Millennial Women came to the main stream in a 1978 science fiction anthology, edited by Virginia Kidd, in which all the stories are written by women and have a female character as the primary protagonist. The themes which these stories have in common are those of social science fiction: that which is perceived as alien, the uses of language, careers, familial relationships, sexual politics, and social constructions of gender, political freedom and equality. It is arguable that these fictional stories are now being manifested in reality.
