Women’s Alliance for Leadership (WAL) is a non-profit dedicated to the enrichment of LGBTQ women through professional & personal development. It was established in Dallas-Fort Worth in August 2010,  recently expanded to Austin. Striving to become an integral part of the lives of our members WAL hosts and participates in major LGBTQ and women’s events, holds a dynamic range of dev workshops, and cultivates a mentoring program.  Our leaders are committed to growing a strong organization that will improve the lives of our members, so that we may have a profound and lasting impact in these communities. As WAL continues to expand, the mission remains steadfast: to positively influence and empower women of the LGBTQ community & their allies, through education, career development, leadership skills, and networking opportunities in a professional environment.  Mia M. Dia is the president and founder of WAL. Her dedication to community service began with her volunteer work, then the founding of WAL in 2010, and the establishment of the Austin branch this year. Her leadership has been instrumental and continues to inspire community participation and action. She is one of many in WAL dedicated to enhancing lives of LGBTQ women. Mia was 16 years old when she moved to Arlington with her family from Jordan, with her first Job was at Mcdonald's saving for classes at Tarrant county college. Mia says, “For many years, I have counseled and mentored a great number of men and women who have come to me for my direct and honest guidance and generous Stoical philosophy...I do whatever I can to make people take responsibility and ownership for their problems...My reputation has grown to such an extent than in the last few years, people have been referring to me as a 'Life Wizard', a title I do not reject.”

Their weekly podcast is Get Over Yourself: Milt’n’Mia. Their books include Get Over Yourself! Handbook on Creating Happiness in a Relationship that makes the bold claim that “Happiness can and should be the standard you want to set, yet we are realistic in our assessment that... no one can make you happy.”  They say, “We repeatedly emphasize what we feel is the essence of every successful relationship, Togetherness, and show, in simple, direct and easy-to-read steps, exactly how to achieve it.”

Mama Mia NO Sharia! with Vito Esposito and AL

    in Politics

Al and Vito will be discussing the topic of the day & past week including the Ramadan Rampages in France, Kuwait and Tunisia.  U.S. Embassy in Indonesia celebrates 4th of July on June 4th so as not to offend muslims during their "holy Ramadan" season. Really? the PC police come out & change our United States celebration so not to offend muslims. Yet during muslims most holiest of times they go on a rampage and kill hundreds of non-muslims around the world?

New report today, AIDS making a comeback within ISIS. Wonder if Obama will send team of physicians & CDC over to the caliphate?

Of course we will discuss last weeks Supreme Court rulings. Progressive Government furthers their cause to control Americans' lives from Cradle to Grave with their ObamadoesntCare decision. Nothing like legislating from the bench! A second landmark ruling courts decide Gay Marriage is legal in all 50 states. Nothing like government controlling all aspects of life and individual liberties in the United States of America!
