As a young girl, Veronique relocated with her family to South Africa where she received a Bachelor of Art degree from the University of Cape Town. As a young wife and mother Veronique once again relocated. This time to Dallas, Texas. For close to 20 years Veronique was Art Director and teacher to hundreds of Elementary and Middle school students at the Solomon Schechter Academy where she was known to draw out a child’s hidden inner potential to communicate through the medium of art.
Veronique resides in Dallas with her husband of 40 years. Her 3 children are now grown, providing Veronique with yet another viewpoint of life as that of a grandmother.

Our special guest is Dr. Sam Metcalf, author of Beyond the Local Church: How Apostolic Movements Can Change the World. The topic has to do with parachurch ministries and their flexibility to do things that the local church cannot do. Complications arise as to whether or not these ministries have less value than the church or even authorized to do so. What are your thought and feelings about this topic?
While Christians were convinced of the essential role of the local church in God’s plan, they also knew that missionary forms of the Church were equally essential. All had broad experience, especially in the type of highly relational discipleship ministry—coaching, mentoring and training—that characterized organizations like the Navigators or Cru. They were convinced that new expressions and forms of the local church were needed if those far from God were to have any hope of moving toward a relationship with Jesus.
Originally known as Church Resource Ministries, the name of Dr. Metcalf's organization was later shortened to CRM to reflect a broadening scope of ministry. They exist to pioneer new ground among the unreached and unchurched. Bring transformation among the poor and mobilize the Church for mission, so that disciples of Jesus are made among the nations.
