Who says small local shops cannot compete with the major national chains? That, in short, is total bull, and Host Bart Jackson has invited renowned retail consultant Marc Willson to come on as guest and set the record straight. The chain store may carry the same goods as the smaller independent merchant, but they are definitely not proffering the same product. The local shop holds the advantage of blending in quality, personal advice, rapport, product expertise and counsel - all things that the majority of purchasers are seeking. Folks are getting sick of buying cheap and buying twice. Business people who want to discover the selling advantages they have, and those they can cultivate, will want to tune in to this very profitable show.
Today we continue our weekly bible study in the Old Testament book of Hosea. We're in chapter 12 and we'll see how the merchants of old, defrauded their customers.
We'll also look at some of the interesting news of the day, including a a re-enactment of a Satanic mass at Harvard.
Enjoy this delicious segment featuring Italian Wine Merchants as Justin Kowalsky describes why IWM is the ultimate Italian Wine resource.
With their personalized approach, direct relationships with winemakers throughout Italy and an amazing selection they bring to you the wines you can't find anywhere else. Their selection is so refined many Italians go to them to get their hands on wine that they can't even find locally.
Their wine list is searchable by price, type, region, and wine maker. They offer tips and paring advice. They'll reach out to you to let you know about the small supply they just received from a boutique wine maker so you can get your hands on it first.
I'm proud to officialy announce the partnership between IWM and How to Tour Italy for an Italian Wine Club unlike any other.
Each month we'll be featuring two wines from a chosen region in Italy supported with recipes, details about the winemaker, insight about the region, and travel information to enjoy the wine's region firsthand. In addition, we'll be talking about the selected wines on the show monthly so you can listen and taste along with Justin and I. We'll also be offering an exlusive wine club member's page to buy more wines and take advantage of special offers through IWM.

An Interview with Gregg Feistman, author of the corporate thriller, "The War Merchants." Out of the ashes of the Second World War, a former Nazi finance expert and his half-brother, an SS Colonel, use stolen gold and confiscated treasures to implement their vision of the ultimate business model to control the world: economic fascism. In the decades since, a secret cartel of multinational corporations have used it to successfully manipulate world events and pull the strings of governments to start and control local wars around the globe. They maximize profits without the waste and inefficiencies of a world war. Beautiful African American public relations executive Cassidy Jevon and ace business reporter Michael Kranz begin a torrid romance while stumbling upon the Machiavellian scheme. Not knowing who to trust, they must expose the global conspiracy before the next targeted initiative begins: the manipulation and takeover of Russia. Gregg Feistman is an Assistant Professor of Public Relations at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has had a long career in public relations and corporate communications for local, regional and national companies, is an independent PR consultant, a nationally-recognized professional motorsports photographer, and a former playwright. The War Merchants is his first novel. All content provided for promotional purposes by the author, for the author interview.

Host Bart Jackson helps us all celebrate our Independence Day by uncovering a few of the business folks (some quite saintly - some not so saintly) who have brought our land to the incredible state in which we find ourselves. America began as a capital venture with folks seeking the unheard of return of 5 percent. It took its founding from a group of honest merchants and rebellious smugglers. We owe our war of independence victory to a merchant and his socialite wife. America founded the first chain of retail stores which launched its founder into the White House - then into the poor house. And our nation was railroaded into the machine age in a large part due to two stockbrokers turned cotton "merchants" in the Civil War. Tune in and learn how the business of America has always been buisness.
A night of non-stop music you are not going to want to miss. We will be revisiting some of our previous featured artists including Aside Oceans, Bloodsent, Hotstuff & The Eyecandy, Jinxemgood, Merchants of Seven, Michael Hurley, The Relays, The Something?, Train City, Vincent Currie, Whizzy's Canvas, Wrathmatics, Wullae Wright, & Yojira The Terrible. Not a show you want to miss.
Jews played a significant role in the slave trade in the United States. The Nation of Islam uncovered documents showing Jews built massive cotton marketing businesses, owning thousands of acres of plantations. Indeed, much of the slave-picked cotton produced in the Mississippi Delta region was marketed internationally by Jewish merchants. Indisputably, Blacks picked the cotton. Jews simultaneously established their dominance in the needle trades or textiles industry, the banking industry, as well as a significant—even if little known—role in the formation of labor unions, which allowed them to exercise control over jobs and contracts.
As a matter of fact, two great books detailing the Jewish involvement in slavery in the U.S., was written and published by the Nation of Islam, under the leadership of the Great Minister Louis Farrakhan. Per the FinalCall.com "Published in 1991, The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews, Volume One, set off ideological tremors resulting in denunciations, and chaotic scrambles into the archives of Jewish historical literature by those hoping to debunk its claims. They were unsuccessful, and quietly, the assertions that Jews were merely co-sufferers or innocent bystanders in the trans-Atlantic slave trade have been silenced. The Nation of Islam's Historical Research Department has followed up with the highly anticipated Volume 2 in a series of scholarly volumes, this one under the subtitle How Jews Gained Control of the Black American Economy."

The I. H. Elders will be speaking about the serious times that we are living in. Revelation 18:2-3 (2) And he cried with a mighty voice, saying, "Babel the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, and a haunt for every unclean and hated bird, (3) because all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her whoring, and the sovereigns of the earth have committed whoring with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the power of her riotous living."
THE CALL TO THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST; THE PURE VIRGIN WOMAN:
I heard another voice from HEAVEN, saying, Come out of her, MY people, so that you will not participate in HER SINS and receive of HER PLAGUES. For HER SINS have piled up as high as HEAVENS, and God has remembered HER INIQUITIES.
THE FILTHY WHORE; THE APOSTATE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH:
For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her IMMORALITY. (SPIRITUAL HARLOTRY) The kings of the earth have committed acts of IMMORALITY with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her SENSUALITY.
THE COMING DESTRUCTION OF THE REVISED HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE:
I saw another angel coming down from HEAVEN, HAVING GREAT AUTHORITY. HE cried mightily with a strong voice, saying,
Babylon the great (MAN'S SYSTEM) is FALLEN, IS FALLEN, IS BECOME A HABITATION OF DEVILS, THE HOLD OF EVERY FOUL SPIRIT AND A CAGE OF EVERY UNCLEAN AND HATEFUL BIRD.
Revelation 18:4-5, 2-3, 1
It's holiday time! A time when customers are all a flurry, making their lists, checking them twice and in a state us marketing brats like to call "Urgency Eutopia". You see there's about sixty-thousand reasons why people don't want to make a purchase decision, but during this magical time of year, all those pretty much fly out the car window, on the way to the outlet mall. I love coaching my small business merchants through this season simply because it's a license for them to to be as creative (or assertive) as they want. We dial in everything from email list building (post-holiday marketing), implement motivating friends/family referral programs and OMG....the magic of the RSVP marketing strategy. Almost brings a tear to my eye when I think of how much we can do as small business merchants during this 30-45 day consumer buying blitz.
Today, we're going to lift the layers of three very cool, very powerful holiday marketing strategies. I'll recap how my clients did on their Black Friday marketing campaigns (maybe have one on the air to chat with us a bit) and then dive into what we are doing RIGHT NOW to leverage these last few days of the retail spending season. As a bonus, I'll share a few nuggets of how we are planning to kick off the new year with a e-blast bang! After all, just because gift giving season ends, doesn't mean our marketing work and opportunities are over ;-)
