    in Relationships

Back In The Game with Mena Freeman and DJ C Coop is LIVE on Wednesday Night @8pm CST/9pm EST/6pm PST on #BlogTalkUSA Special Guest this week: Owner of BB Health and Wellness and BB Sexy Couture; the Bold and Beautiful, Ms. Betty Driver!  Betty's Philosophy..."So many women feel less beautiful as they age.  It’s amazing; a woman’s emotions can be affected positively or negatively by clothing.  If it fits, she’s having a great day.  If it doesn’t fit, it can impact her day and mood negatively.  The fashions that I select can be worn by women of all shapes and sizes. A beautiful outfit, great pair of shoes, hair and makeup can be the touch you need to feel your best.  As BB Sexy Couture’s success and growth continues, I felt the need to bridge my health and wellness business and Couture Fashion through Couture Lifestyle Magazine. I want to provide a platform for men and women business owners to promote and advertise their business. There have been hurdles along the way, but my strong faith in God and the ability to laugh keeps me going. What I’ve learned from all of this…Your darkest hour is often when your best breakthroughs are on the way...keep going! Be Bold, Be Beautiful!"

    in Current Events

Our guest is newly elected member of Compton Unified School Board of Trustees, Sandra Faye Moss. She is a mother and grandmother who has dedicated her life to service and leadership! Sandra served as PTA President for 3 schools, Secretary and member of 3 School Site Councils, 3 years on the Student Attendance Review Team and Student Attendance Review Board for the LA Unified School District, and numerous committees to reduce truancy and suspensions. In addition, Sandra served on Mayor Aja Brown’s task force for the City of Compton. As a longtime leader within her church, she founded the “Rites of Passage” mentoring program in 2007, a program for boys between the ages of 14 to 24.  Twenty of twenty-two participants in the program have gone on to attend college and are gainfully employed. In 1994, Sandra began her career with the Los Angeles County Probation Department and she has worked in more than eight units over the course of twenty-two years.  Management repeatedly selects Sandra to provide leadership, training and mentioning to her co-workers because of her energetic personality, positive outlook, ability to motivate and her “can do” attitude. Sandra has taught hundreds of Juvenile Detention Officers and Deputy Probation Officers as an Adjunct Professor for more than ten years at West Los Angeles College.  She has provided probation supervision and preventive services at more than twenty-six elementary, middle and high school campuses.  She has received multiple “employee of the year” awards, and in February 2015, State Senator Holly J. Mitchell recognized Sandra for her outstanding community service. In November Sandra Moss was elected to the Compton Unified School Board of Trustees.  This was her very first run for elected office, and the students of Compton Unified School District will benefit greatly from the wise decision of the voters to elect her to this office!

Back In The Game with Mena Freeman & DJ C Coop

    in Romance

Back In The Game with Mena Freeman & DJ C Coop is LIVE every Wednesday Night @ 8pm CST on #BlogTalkUSA Dating over 40, after a divorce, after incarceration....?  Whatever your own circumstance, we can all use tips, advice, support, and a social network of others who are in a similar situation to our own.... especially when we find ourselves trying to get "Back In The Game!"  You will find all of that and so much more, including discussions on the hottest topic in the news, politics, and current events which have an impact on all of us!  Tonight we will talk about the Planned Parenthood investigation in Texas which was sparked by heavily edited videos from a bogus "medical" group who has a vendetta against Planned Parenthood and against the idea of women having the right to bodily autonomy! We will discuss the progression of the war on women, the invasive and overreaching laws being passed on the federal level and in state after state to restrict our right to autonomy over our own bodies, reproductive choices and options, and health care decisions.  Finally we will discuss the moral judgement placed upon the shoulders of women and families and the punishment mentality behind these restrictions and behind the overall assault on reproductive choice.  BlogTalkUSA's Rheana Nevitt Piegols will join us to discuss how reproductive choice had a significant impact on her own decision making process when she was an unmarried high school student who gave birth 9 days after turning 17 years of age! Rheana chose to plan, create, and go through with an adoption plan for her child. The never ending assault on reproductive rights compells her to share just how important the "Choice" part was in making her own decision 21 years ago.  Restriction, judgement, and punishment only make this painful and personal situation more difficult to endure, manage, and survive!
