Welcome to the new Sell with Soul real estate podcast for real estate agents who want to be the best thing to ever happen to their clients.
This podcast is different from pretty much any other real estate-related show out there in that we focus not on cheesy lead-generation techniques, ridiculous script memorization or intelligence-insulting objection busting strategies, but rather on being an Exceptional manager of a real estate transaction. One who inspires his or her Very Satisfied Clients to tell the world about their wonderfulness, which, for the record, is one of the best business development strategies on the planet.
The SWS Book Club will meet two Monday mornings a month. The premise of the Club is Simple - Jennifer Allan-Hagedorn will read a chapter or two or three to you, in her very own voice, from one of her seven books. We are kicking off the Book Club with her latest - The Exceptional Real Estate Agent: Because Competence Gives You Confidence. (click the link to order on Amazon.com).
In the first session, we will cover the introductory material and Chapter One, including "Who is the Best Real Estate Agent You Know?" "What's So Great About Being Exceptional?" "Are Real Estate Services a Commodity?" and "Are You on the Right Flight?" If time permits, we will conclude with the Exceptional Real Estate Agent quiz...
We hope you enjoy it!

Is Education About Cheating, Memorization and Socializing, or is it about acquiring knowledge that is going to apply in the real world and truly help you start a company or become an asset to a company?
These were his exact words. Kyle, my Internet Marketing teacher from Wealthy Affiliate University mentioned this topic and I had to do a show on it, because just about 95% of the classes we take in High School and College is irrelevent to what we'll actually use in the real world.
WE'RE GONNA TALK ABOUT THE TIMES TABLES AND THE IMPORTANCE OF MEMORIZATION IN EDUCATION TODAY
As many citizens across the country are reacting with anger to the Grand Jury's decision to file no charges against police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of unarmed teen Michael Brown, there are those who have launched a proactive strategy in the fight for justice. Judge Stanley Hill has worked for the last several years coordinating the PUSH Excel Oratorical Contest, an event in which youth in grades 1 through 12 memorize some of history's most powerful speeches in the areas of peace and justice. Judge Hill coaches these youth and prepares them to compete in a stimulating and enjoyable rhetorical competition that focuses on the persuasive power of eloquent, inspirational speech. These are the perhaps future lawyers who will present arguments before courts and win cases. What better way to fight back against injustice than to prepare future leaders who can be the orators that awaken their peers to the principles of truth, honor, and righteousness? Some of those whose memorable speeches will be recited by students in the upcoming contest Saturday December 20, 2014 include President Barack Obama, Langston Hughes, Robert Frost, Nikki Giovanni, and The Girl Who Silenced the United Nations for Five Minutes. Judge Hill explains his motivation for empowering these youth with outstanding speaking skills, and what the memorization of such impressive words will do in shaping their character. Later, we'll be joined by organizers in Missouri who reflect on how to take the energy of anger in the protesters and use it to create constructive change across the country.
As the citizens across the country continue to react to the Grand Jury's decision in Ferguson Missouri to file no charges against police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of unarmed teen Michael Brown,
Tonight your host Bill Bachman takes it from the Paranormal to Pop Culture and the influences of social media on society with Ron 'Crunk Panda' Coleman Jr. and Jen Dent of Vine!
Ron, hailing originally from Nashville TN, Crunk Panda is the furriest of all the social media darlings. Air Force Vet, PEZ Connoisseur, Boston Terrier Aficionado, and all things in between. Loud mouthed, quick wit... and with a heart of gold, Panda has a background in all things wrestling, hip hop, and pop culture as a whole. You can probably run circles around him if you are an encyclopedia of comics knowledge, and if you try to go quote for quote, well..you will probably win. Panda understands more of the who, what, when, where, and why...as opposed to rote memorization of trivia. Panda is most known for his Ghostbusters uniform, followed closely by Hellboy, and, since he already looks the part... Dr. Venture. Always looking to give back to the community, Panda is actively involved with many charitable causes through his costuming in the Kansas City area where he currently resides.
From a young age, Jen Dent was expressive and creative. She has had a camera in her hand for a long time, documenting everything, starting with a Fisher Price camera that recorded 10-minute videos in black and white on cassette tapes when she was 14 years old. She then progressed to documenting her dorm life in college with a bulky VHS recorder. In 2011, she started a YouTube channel, "JentotheDen" which had hundreds of videos and got her noticed by USA Today in 2012. Since the days of dial-up, Jen has been very active on social media where she has shared thousands of photos and videos. When she discovered Vine from a friend, she found it to be the perfect combination of social media and expression. Her vines have been very popular, the most recent being a spontaneous, purposefully uncoordinated dance she did at an outside venue which has gone viral all over the internet.

Today's Show: When someone mentions memorizing Scripture do you jump up and down? Cringe and shake your head? Or do you desire to learn how? Join Cynthia and Cathy Horning as they talk about gaining the ability and passion for Scripture memorization.
People have so many skills and abilities but never use them. They can cook, they can build, they can fix, they can organize, etc. People are good with numbers, memorization, presentation. People are good at sales, working with people. But why do people make the decision to never get paid on their own skills? Why do people shy away from doing things they enjoy and could get paid from it and get all the money? Going to discuss this by reading excerpts of articles written by myself.
Today we'll be continuing our Sunday studies in the Gospel of John, going over our weekly memorization verse, and reading a little bit from the book Foxes Book of Martyrs! Know that God loves you today and Psalm 118:24 "this is the day the Lord hath made we shall rejoice and be glad in it."
By popular demand Dr. Candy Dawson - Boyd returns to NCEBCTalkRadio to continue the conversation and empowerment related to Common Core Standards and its impact on students (and communities) of color.
Joining Dr. Boyd for the second half of the show will be Augusta Mann, a nationally renowned educator and senior scholar at the National Urban Alliance. Ms. Mann uses research-based culturally responsive pedagogical practices steeped in African culture to accelerate learning and achievement. With "Touching the Spirit" (TM) principles, Augusta has developed practical and instructional uses of rhythm (in music, speech, and movement); Ritual (affirmations/performances), and Recitation (oral performance/memorization).
Both guests will be taking questions from our listeners. Tune in to listen and log in to chat!
