Only when we are intelligent in regard to the principles of health reform can we be fully aroused to see the evils resulting from an improper diet. Those who, after seeing their mistakes, have courage to change their habits, will find that the reformatory process requires a struggle and much perseverance. But when correct tastes are formed, they will realize that the use of food which they have formerly regarded as harmless was slowly but surely laying the foundation for dyspepsia and other diseases. – {MM 273.2

    in Christianity

When the abuse of health is carried so far that sickness results, the sufferer can often do for himself what no one else can do for him. The first thing to be done is to ascertain the true character of the sickness and then go to work intelligently to remove the cause. If the harmonious working of the system has become unbalanced by overwork, overeating, or other irregularities, do not endeavor to adjust the difficulties by adding a burden of poisonous medicines.

Intemperate eating is often the cause of sickness, and what nature most needs is to be relieved of the undue burden that has been placed upon her. In many cases of sickness, the very best remedy is for the patient to fast for a meal or two, that the overworked organs of digestion may have an opportunity to rest. A fruit diet for a few days has often brought great relief to brain workers. Many times a short period of entire abstinence from food, followed by simple, moderate eating, has led to recovery through nature's own recuperative effort. An abstemious diet for a month or two would convince many sufferers that the path of self-denial is the path to health.

"Military Reform Begins with Personnel Reform" on the Tim Danahey Show

    in Politics

Why is an officer with four years of experience the most effective? Why won’t a military official with more than four years experience speak out against abuses? Does the current glut of officers cause dangers for our troops on the front lines? How do military personnel policies allow programs like the F-35 and Littoral combat ships continue despite being rife with flaws? Listen to an interesting conversation with former military officer and current member of the Project on Government Oversight, Dan Grazier, as he explains the deep flaws in current policies and the hope changes are on the way.

The Tim Danahey Show started in July, 2010 as a one-day-per week endeavor and quickly grew to five days per week. The show discusses economics, government, social issues, history, and non-fiction books in a magazine format featuring in-depth conversations with guests. Politics and inflammatory conversations are discouraged as they are divisive and counter-productive. Instead, the show seeks under-reported topics and delves into facts, different perspectives, and ramifications of each perspective. Every Monday Night on Coffee Party USA Radio 9:00 PM Eastern/6:00 PM Pacific.

The show does not espouse a political agenda nor does it seek to inflame particular constituencies. The show treats all guests politely and with respect. There is no rambling discourse or personal attacks. This show is one of the highest quality and professional programs available.

    Health Reform Monday

    in Christianity

December 10, 1871, I was again shown that the health reform is one branch of the great work which is to fit a people for the coming of the Lord. It is as closely connected with the third angel’s message as the hand is with the body. The law of ten commandments has been lightly regarded by man; but the Lord would not come to punish the transgressors of that law without first sending them a message of warning. The third angel proclaims that message. Had men ever been obedient to the law of ten commandments, carrying out in their lives the principles of those precepts, the curse of disease now flooding the world would not be.

Men and women cannot violate natural law by indulging depraved appetite and lustful passions, and not violate the law of God. Therefore He has permitted the light of health reform to shine upon us, that we may see our sin in violating the laws which He has established in our being. All our enjoyment or suffering may be traced to obedience or transgression of natural law. Our gracious heavenly Father sees the deplorable condition of men, who, some knowingly but many ignorantly, are living in violation of the laws that He has established. And in love and pity to the race, He causes the light to shine upon health reform. He publishes His law, and the penalty that will follow the transgression of it, that all may learn, and be careful to live in harmony with natural law. He proclaims His law so distinctly, and makes it so prominent, that it is like a city set on a hill. All accountable beings can understand it if they will. Idiots will not be responsible. To make plain natural law, and urge the obedience of it, is the work that accompanies the third angel’s message, to prepare a people for the coming of the Lord.

    in US Government

This episode will discuss judicial corruption and what must be done by the President, the Senate and local Governments to address justice reform. We cannot pretend that we do not have a problem in this Country when we can buy and sale judges - justice - at any price.

Not a problem?  Then, why did our U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg address a need for reform concerning the money involved in electing judges, and even went as far as saying that it remains one of the most pressing concerns facing the American court system?

From local to federal appointments judicial corruption is a critical issue and as long as judges are for sale then, we do not have justice and there will never be reform. Judicial corruption is not limited to finance, we have judges who purchase drugs from dealers and sex from underaged children as well as victims of human trafficking and child sexual exploitation.  We have judges sale justice - outcomes - of cases.

Every sector of the electoral process is subject to term limits and campaign financing management except the role of judges in America.  A corrupt judiciary means a corrupt prosecutor and corrupt prosecutor means corrupt police - so when we question why some police act without regard of human rights and constitutional safeguards, look to the Magistrate court who signed the warrant, the prosecutor who will prosecute the case and the judge who will issue the sentence.  The same is true in a civil matter. There lies the problem!
