Do some people have big egos? Are some people egoless? What are we perceiving or not perceiving in people when we answer “yes” to these questions? What does ego mean anyway?
What we express witnesses to our thinking. Our thoughts will either reflect spirit or ego and will express love or fear. "To be egocentric is to be dis-spirited, but to be Self-centered in the right sense is to be inspired or in spirit." Pg. 52 Txt.
The Voice for God or Holy Spirit, speaks the thoughts of God which are loving because they recognize that together we are one Self united in the Source of all creation and so, attack is impossible. The ego is the voice for a system of thought that is fearful because it represents the belief that we are self-created, separate body/egos that can attack, suffer and die. Only one thought system is real, the other illusion.
Join with Eloisa Ramos as we explore, with the guidance of Lessons 331-340 the definition of ego and why the ego is insatiable and always wants more.
“The ego is idolatry;..." (pg. 467 Lessons). "An idol is a means for getting more. And it is this that is against God’s Will. God has not many Sons, but only One. Who can have more, and who be given less? For more than Heaven can you never have. " (pg. 621 Txt.).

On tonight's episode of Mean Girl Radio, Pam (@LuxeMonster) and Mercedes (@MercedesMarie) have lots and lots of beauty secrets to share with you ladies, specifically the pros and cons of hair weaves. I'm sure a lot of you have seen the photo of Naomi Campbell that has surfaced, showing all of the damage that years and years of wearing weaves and not taking care of her natural hair has caused. A lot of women get so caught up in taking care of the hair that they bought from someone else, and forget to care for their real hair that is under their extensions. So make sure you have your pen and note pads ready!
After that, Trishy (@MeanGirlTrishy) will be giving you all the details for the next sugar baby/sugar daddy party. Last week, there was a fabulous party where single, attractive, intelligent and ambitious young women met single, generous, handsome, affluent men looking to spoil them rotten. It was a wonderful evening where everyone danced, networked, and made connections. Next month, there will be another "sugar bowl" as we in the sugar community call it, but this time it wil be in Los Angeles!
The Mean Girls will also be discussing tonight's episode of Love And Hip-Hop: Atlanta.
At the end of the show, we're also going to talk about polyamory, something that was once thought to be taboo, but is actually quite common these days. If you are or have ever been in a polyamorous relationship, feel free to call in and tell us your story and how it worked out for you.
Each week at Mass, we pray the Creed and proclaim that we "believe". But what does it mean to believe? There's a big difference between believing that God exists and believing in the teachings of His Church. Join Gary Zimak as he continues his walk through the Catechism of the Catholic Church and discusses how each of us has the ability (through reason) to believe that God exists. This ability is critical in order for us to accept God's revelation through faith. Tune in and see what believing is all about!
