The VA Secretary Robert A. McDonald And Man Lands Aircraft On Capital Lawn

    in Current Events

Welcome to this episode of Disabled Veteran Radio todays topics - Veterans Administration Secretary Robert A. McDonald states that the reason I had a grease gun stuck up my ass on The U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln CVN 72 in November of 1989 is beacuse I was drunk ! What a Gosh Darn Lie !

Also a Reporter who did a story on me back in 2007 Ben Montgomery from Tampa Bay Times. He is now all over the news because he was privy to the 61 one year old Doug Hughes mail man out of Riverview, Florida who just landed his protest gyrocopter packed with 535 letters addressed to U.S. Capitol to draw attention to campaign fiance reform. I am trying to get Americas attention to tell you how The Veterans Administration is still cooking the books and how they will not fully compensate Disabled Veterans that were misdiagnosed with personality disorder which made thousands miss out on Veterans Benefits for years. The correct Diagnoses on the Date Of Disacharge should have been P T S D resulting in a Disability Rating. If you care about this important topic and can help me raise $5,000 dollars by 5/1/15 then log into http://www.billapgar.com and donate today :) Thank You Bill Apgar Host Of Disabled Veteran Radio and 100% Disabled Veteran

Sistahs on Lit Chat With Author Linda McDonald

    in Books

Linda McDonald is a Library Specialist  residing in the San Francisco Bay Area and a former radio personality for the nationally syndicated "In the Know" broadcast on the RMG Radio Network. Linda McDonald’s favorite quote is the excerpt from Maya Angelou's book, I Wouldn't Take Nothing For My Journey Now :“Each of us has the right and the responsibility to assess the roads which lie ahead, and those over which we have travelled, and if the future road looms ominous or unpromising, and the roads back uninviting, then we need to gather our resolve and carry only the necessary baggage, step off that road into another direction. If the new choice is also unpalatable, without embarrassment we must be ready to change that as well.” The Perfect Deception is Linda McDonald's first release.

Human Trafficking - A Survivors Story - Christine McDonald

    in Motivation

Christine McDonald is an internationally recognized author and speaker on the social injustices facing underserved populations today.  As a survivor of human trafficking, homelessness, and addiction, Christine- now blind as a result of a disease that forced her to choose between her unborn child and her eyesight- is on a mission to bring justice and awareness to the forefront of social change through education and unconditional love.

Christine began life in a small town in Oklahoma, in a very dark and painful household. She felt safest using her own survival skills to live on the streets and ran away for the last time when she was just 15.  This began her 17 year journey of homelessness, which comprised of being sex trafficked, drug addiction, prostitution, 103 arrests and 7 prison stints.  Finally ready for a better life and barely able to read or write, Christine began a new journey of exiting the life of the streets, only to be challenged again.

Completely blind and eternally vigilant, today Christine uses her life experience and education to work as an advocate for trafficking victims, the homeless, recovering addicts, ex-offenders and disabled populations.  Currently living in St Louis, Missouri, Christine is a proud mom of her 7 year old son and practices a loving open adoption with her daughter’s adoptive parents in nearby Kirkwood.  Christine is the author of Cry Purple: One Woman’s Journey through Homelessness, Crack Addiction and Prison to Blindness, Motherhood and Happiness and is the founder of www.ChristinesVision.org.  She has also been featured locally and nationally on various media outlets, including NBC, CBS, FOX and NPR and sits on multiple local, state-wide and international level boards and committees.
