Bluebeard is the story documenting the history behind the reign of terror imposed on Europe by Gilles de Rais, the infamous Bluebeard. The author brings the reader into the castles, pageants, battles and dungeons of medieval Europe to explore the enigma that was the life of the man, who fought bravely and valiantly alongside Joan of Arc in pursuit of a higher cause then descended into the dark depths of sexual exploitation of children which made him an historical monster. But what is it that causes a man to develop to being such a person? The author focuses on the man s life and the foundation set for his mental and intellectual development, then explores his life subsequent to the sword clashing, blood-letting battles alongside Joan of Arc. She raises questions, presents hypotheses from genetic disposition to PTSD to explain the demonic action of the man. It is a book that gives the reader a breath-taking experience and presents thought-provoking possibilities as to why a man who led a life of valor as a brave warrior could descend into the dark depths of depravity. John Maxwell has been a teacher of Leaders for many years. In this show he shares how MOMENTIUM can be your BEST FRIEND!
In a blog he writes:
Momentum is the greatest of all change-agents. When a leader has it, organizational change comes easily, for it’s much simpler to steer a company that’s already experiencing success than to jumpstart one that’s stagnant.
On a team that’s thriving, growing, and delivering results an aura of excitement permeates everything. The momentum is almost tangible. Yet even though we can feel the momentum, it’s hard to define. Let’s take a momentum to pin down where it comes from.
The attitude of the leader + the atmosphere of the organization + the accomplishments of the people = MOMENTUM
Leaders who court momentum display a set of attitudes that help them reach new altitudes. First, they take responsibility for outcomes. They don’t blame failures on their people or on forces beyond their control. Second, leaders who generate momentum operate with an empowering sense of hope. They shape their surroundings instead of merely being shaped by them. They believe in the possibility of change instead of complaining about challenges to it. Finally, leaders who drive momentum have unfailing enthusiasm. They’re convinced of the importance of their work, and this sense of purpose propels them forward.
Leaders build a culture favorable to momentum in the following ways. First, they believe the best about their people—concentrating on developing their strengths rather than on fixing their shortcomings. Second, they provide an inspiring vision that’s contagious. They share it confidently and talk about it continually, until everyone on the team sees it almost as clearly as they do. Third, they remove the fear of failure. They invite risk and affirm innovative ideas—even if they don’t always work.

Jesus was Married written by Ogden Kraut.
1.Introduction page 5. 2.Marriage and Celibacy page 6. 3.Rabbi Jesus page 10. 4.The Gospel Law page 16. 5.The Canaan Marriage page 29. 6.An Everlasting Covenant of Marriage page 38. 7.The Ancient Practice of Plural Marriage page 52. 8.Jesus and His Posterity page 79. 9.Conclusion page 100.
"Did Jesus ever marry?" This has been a disputable question sometimes arising against the popular opinions of today. Tradition has formulated an opinion, popular with modern Christians, that Jesus never married. Objectors to His marriage contend that He was not subject to the same laws, ordinances, or principles which are otherwise imposed upon the rest of mankind. Some oppose His marriage by purporting that marriage is sinful in its nature—that marriage involves a base, animalistic or sensuous practice, and that the union of the sexes is an evil regardless of the conditions. Thus the popular consensus prohibits Jesus from complying with the ancient law and practice of marriage. Christianity today teaches a celibate Christ. The reasons for believing in the marriage of Jesus, rather than in celibacy, are more logical, and to a great degree more valid, through the light of prophecy, history, and revelation. However, those who make reference to or boldly assert that Jesus was married will usually arouse a cry of "blaspheme" from the modern Christian. Despite the popular opinions and the pious modesty of our society, a careful investigation may prove interesting, if not advantageous, in the quest for an answer to this relevant question. John Maxwell has been a Pastor and a Leadership expert for many years. On this show I am sharing a min-sermon he did called "Intentional Living." He has a book by the same title. In it he shares:
We all have a longing to be significant. We want to make a contribution, to be a part of something noble and purposeful. But many people wrongly believe significance is unattainable. They worry that it's too big for them to achieve. That they have to have an amazing idea, be a certain age, have a lot of money, or be powerful or famous to make a real difference.
The good news is that none of those things is necessary for you to achieve significance and create a lasting legacy. The only thing you need to achieve significance is to be intentional. And to do that, all you need to do is start. You can't make an impact sitting still and doing nothing. Every major accomplishment that's ever been achieved started with a first step. Sometimes it's hard; other times it's easy, but no matter what, you have to do it if you want to get anywhere in life.
In INTENTIONAL LIVING, John Maxwell will help you take that first step, and the ones that follow, on your personal path through a life that matters.
I am sure you will find ideas you can use in your own life.
