Inspiration Nation welcomes fellow Tampa Bay writer, Mary Jane Cronin, author of A Caregiver Connection
With people living somuch longer these days, the result is often "longer not better" with ailments and limitations requiring someone to step in and help with personal care. Proving care and support to both mychildren and my parents with a little extra padding on the hips for goodmeasure. A Caregiver Connection was created following my ten years working with hospice. Realizing that caregiver, both personal or family caregivers and professionals who work in the healthcarefield often ignore their own care and go into providing care with littlepreparation. This guidebook offers chapters on exploring your feelings as acaregiver, self-care, and types of care communities and how to get help at homewhen you are trying to do it all alone.
Mary Jane Cronin LMHC founded Cronin Counseling and Coaching in the fall of 2014 to help fill a serious void in the mental health service field. During her ten years of practice working with Suncoast Hospice, Mary Jane repeatedly observed that many caregivers and other adults encountered significant obstacles to accessing quality and consistent mental health care. Recognized that many people are unable to visit a counseling office, they could however, be open to treatment in the comfort of their own homes. Offering services for elderly adults who are living in care communities or their family members who need support seemed like a logical solution.

8pm ET Guest: DAVID OMAN (Producer/Creator/Co-Writer) A native of Los Angeles, Oman has been intrigued by the paranormal from his early childhood and has been curious about the Spirit World ever since. In 1999 Oman started helping his father build the house on Cielo Drive, just down the drive from the infamous Sharon Tate Murders aka the Manson Murders – after 2 years of living in the house he created a story based upon his experiences in the home with the activity, titled House at the End of the Drive. He self financed the movie and shot it on location at his home and brought his story to life. Since he moved into the house the activity has been quite apparent so much so that the Oman house has been on seven paranormal reality shows, Ghost Hunters, Dead Famous Live, Searching for Satan, My Ghost Story, in July 2013 he was on History Channel 2 show, Haunted History and SyFy's, Paranormal Witness. February 15th 2014 the season 9 premiere episode of Ghost Adventures aired and it was the highest rated episode to date, it dealt with the investigation at the Oman house. He has also been featured on Larry King Live, EXTRA and TMZ.

On August 28, 1988, in Cuenca Ecuador the Blessed Virgin Mary first appeared to a young woman named Patricia "Pachi" Talbot. Our Lady identified herself, saying: "I am the Guardian of the Faith".
These apparitions continued until March 3, 1990. Patricia, twenty-seven today, was sixteen years old when the Blessed Mother chose her as an instrument to spread her messages to all Her people. Patricia was a model, a student, and throughout the apparitions, she continued with her studies. She has since married Andres Vega and they live in Cuenca. Here Patricia continues to strive to fulfill the particular mission the Blessed Mother gave her-service to the poor.
The apparitions began in Patricia's bedroom and continued in various churches, chapels, and her home until June of 1989 when they were moved to a Garden spot in El Cajas, high in the Andes Mountains. When moved to the Garden Spot in El Cajas, the Mother of God's visits normally occurred on Thursdays and Saturdays, often accompanied by phenomena such as bright lights in the sky, the sun "dancing", and on more than one occasion people's hands and faces sparkled with a golden glow, as if from glitter, which could not be rubbed off. Yet here, as in Medjugorje and in other reported apparition sites around the world, the importance was not the supernatural phenomena, but the interior conversion of heart and the abundant graces God was offering to His people, through His Most Holy Mother.
The major story, here, for now, is Ukraine -- where a clash between protesters and a Russian-backed president (now deposed, but under Russian protection) has raised the specter of civil war and in a worst-case scenario, an explosion between Ukraine and Russia, which might drag other nations, including the U.S., into the conflict (America warned Russia this week not to interfere with internal Ukrainian matters, as Russian troops have lined near the border).
But antagonisms between Ukraine -- once part of the Soviet Union -- and Russia have simmered for a century (peaking before and during World War Two when the U.S.S.R. persecuted Christians, especially Catholics, and starved Ukraine, causing millions of deaths). Ukraine split from the Soviet bloc during the incredible break up of the Soviet Union, gaining its independence several years after the apparitions.
Along with thousands of others, Terelya was witness to this manifestation of the Blessed Mother in the rural hamlet of Hrushiw south of Lviv, where Mary first appeared on April 26, 1987, to an eleven-year-old peasant, Maria Kizyn -- a girl who had absolutely no guile and who never contradicted her testimony of first seeing Mary on the balcony of a domed wood chapel called Blessed Trinity, dressed in black.
The events were first reported in America by The New York Times on October 13, 1987 -- a major feast day of the Fatima apparitions, which bore "secrets" (again "coincidentally") focusing on Russia, atheism, and the possibility (in the vaunted third secret) of an angel "torching" the world.
Since the mid-1990s, Mary Colucci has served as the Executive Director of the Craft Yarn Council (CYC), a nonprofit trade association that represents major yarn resources, needle/hook manufacturers, publishers, and consultants to the yarn industry.
