Ed McGrath's School of Isshin-ryu Karate-do & Kobu-do presents our Martial Arts Talk Show. Host Dan Vena invites martail artists to call in and talk about their practice. We invite students to call in and ask questions and discuss training procedures with progress based results. Our show is 30 minutes live and BTR allows us to keep talking for up to 45 minutes archived. So take advantage of our platform and advertise your school.
Our main goal is to promote unity and harmony amoung all martial artists no matter what discipline or style. As a traditional dojo we practice the curriculum developed on Okinawa by Shimabuku Tatsuo Sensei. His style of Isshin was developed by his learning of Goju and Shorin. We here in the United States practice the curriculum brought home by Don Nagle Sensei. (USMC-DEC:) His teachings have spread throughout the world since that first dojo in Jacksonville, North Carolina. My Sensei Ed McGrath (USMC-RET:) is the inheritor of Don Nagle's AOKA continues to focus on building the camaraderie that existed in that original dojo. So here we are on BTR asking you to call in and talk about your experience.
Call in and speak live to the host.

Taoist and Vedic Alchemy must be the foundation of our internal and external practices. Alchemy has been practiced by every culture that still exists. In contemporary, Western, society we value yoga and qigong regimens. If done correctly they allow the practitioner torecover health, make use stronger and in extreme cases of dedication extend life.
At no time in history has access to such esoteric knowledge been possible. We continue that trend in the show Vedic and Taoist Alchemy. Join Neil Ripski and Jee Singh as they discuss yoga and qigong regimens that should be the foundation of our Karate, Kung Fu, Tae Kwon do, Western Jiu Jitsu & Boxing, MMA and Combatives martial sciences. We will reveal: The Vodoo Wedo in Martial Science.... To day we delve into breathing.... the essence of cultivating modal behavior...

We've seen it in any activity....the Ego that demands recognition and respect. We all have Ego, but some have bigger ones than others, to the point of inflated self image, a sense of superiority over anyone, and an attitude where everyone should know who you are.
How does Ego affect martial arts training? Or even teaching martial arts? Is humility all that it's cracked up to be? We'll discuss these questions and more, so join us for the conversation! Give us a call or listen live on Blogtalkradio.com!

The Truth About Wi-Fi, Cell Phones and Smart Meters
Microwave Expert Barrie Trower - Microwave Weapons and Technology
Barrie Trower is a former Royal Navy microwave weapons expert and former cold-war captured spy debriefer for the UK Intelligence Services. Mr. Trower is a whistle-blower, who lectures around the world on hidden dangers from microwave weapons and every-day microwave technologies such as mobile phones and Wi-Fi. Mr. Trower has also repeatedly assisted the UK Police Federation in their struggle to protect police officers from Tetra/Air-Band radio-communications systems that are harmful to health.
This Saturday, Lost Arts Radio listeners have the rare privilege to listen in (and join in if time allows) on an impromptu conversation with microwave technologies and weapons expert Mr. Barrie Trower, on the dangers of wi-fi, smart meters, cell phones and other microwave devices and what you can do to protect yourself. Industries wanting to maximize their profits even at the expense of your health, and governments with their own agendas are not reliable sources of information on these subjects for obvious reasons, as well as some that may not be so obvious. Remember to mark this Saturday, April 4th at 6pm Pacific/9pm Eastern for a show that promises to be jam-packed with useful information you will not hear anywhere else.
Lost Arts Radio invites you to join us for our free health-related educational broadcasts every week. We want to acknowledge and understand the threats we face, while keeping our energy strong, and then come together with positive solutions that can work for you.
Lost Arts Radio host Richard Sacks (www.lostartsradio.com) has been an independent holistic health scientist since 1965. Initially motivated by his own serious health problems of the time, he made the decision to explore beyond the accepted limits and understandings of medical science to regain the vibrant state of health and ageless energy he felt was our normal condition. He began an investigation of the deeper knowledge of health and consciousness from ancient sources that modern science fails to comprehend and often brushes off with condescending arrogance. What he discovered in a multi-decade journey crossed many arbitrary dividing lines between physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, organic agriculture (before USDA took over the term), and laws of nature that have been operating and were understood long before any of the philosophies, religions or academic disciplines we know of were even conceived. Having spent the last 40 years looking for ways to adapt ancient knowledge to modern conditions, reaching simultaneously into realms of science and consciousness, he continues the exploration and experimentation to this day. Recently invited to do a radio show on health in the broader sense of the word, covering many areas of study, Richard started Lost Arts Research Institute and Lost Arts Radio, to share what he has put together over a long period of study, trial and error, and discovery.
This Saturday for the first time so far on Lost Arts Radio, Richard will share some of what he has learned over many years of this study, hoping that it might be useful to you in maximizing your own state of health, energy and well being during your life in this very challenging age.
