Young people who are already at high risk are deeply traumatized when adults who purport to be community leaders and activists cause the harm, which becomes particularly relevant when youth flee our communities and become at risk for prostitution, trafficking, and prison. About 80% of individuals in prison have been victims of sexual or domestic violence."
